شهد قضاء سيد دخيل في محافظة ذي قار العراقية، أمس (الأحد)، فوضى دامية بعد أن تحوّل خلاف بسيط بين عدد من طلاب إحدى المدارس إلى نزاع عشائري عنيف استُخدمت فيه الأسلحة الخفيفة والمتوسطة، ما أسفر عن مقتل شخصين وإصابة ستة آخرين بجروح بالغة.
وأعلنت وزارة الداخلية العراقية اعتقال 27 شخصاً بعد نزاع عشائري بسبب خلاف قديم في محافظة ذي قار، مشيرة الى إصابة ستة مواطنين بجروح.
نزاعات قديمة بين عائلتين
وبينت «الداخلية العراقية»: «في الوقت الذي تشهد محافظة ذي قار استقراراً أمنياً ملحوظاً خصوصاً منذ بداية العام الجاري بفضل جهود قواتنا الأمنية والتعاون الكبير بين الأهالي، إلا أن المحافظة شهدت نزاعاً عشائرياً بسبب خلاف قديم في إحدى قرى ناحية سيد دخيل»، مشيرة الى «إصابة 6 مواطنين من طرفي النزاع ومواطنين كانوا قرب الحادث وحرق أحد المضايف».
وأضاف البيان أن «قوة مشتركة من قيادة شرطة محافظة ذي قار شرعت بتطويق مكان النزاع والتدخل لفضّه، إلا أن القوة تعرضت الى إطلاق نار من طرفي النزاع، ما دعاها إلى الرد بقوة».
وتابع: «كما باشرت بحملة أمنية لتفتيش المنطقة وتمكنت من إلقاء القبض على 27 متهماً في هذا النزاع وضبطت بندقية من نوع كلاشنكوف».
وبحسب شهود عيان، فإن المشهد خرج سريعاً عن السيطرة، إذ امتد إطلاق النار إلى أحياء سكنية مجاورة، قبل أن تلتهم النيران مضيف أحد مشايخ المنطقة بالكامل، وتشتعل سيارة وسط أعمدة كثيفة من الدخان، فيما عمّت حالة من الذعر بين السكان الذين هرعوا للاحتماء داخل منازلهم.
The district of Sayyid Dakhil in the Iraqi province of Dhi Qar witnessed bloody chaos yesterday (Sunday) after a minor dispute among a number of students from one of the schools escalated into a violent tribal conflict that involved the use of light and medium weapons, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and the injury of six others with serious wounds.
The Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of 27 people following the tribal conflict due to an old dispute in Dhi Qar province, noting that six citizens were injured.
Old Disputes Between Two Families
The Iraqi Ministry of Interior stated: "While Dhi Qar province has been experiencing noticeable security stability, especially since the beginning of this year thanks to the efforts of our security forces and the significant cooperation among the residents, the province witnessed a tribal conflict due to an old dispute in one of the villages of Sayyid Dakhil," pointing out that "six citizens from both sides of the conflict were injured, along with citizens who were near the incident, and one of the guesthouses was burned."
The statement added that "a joint force from the Dhi Qar Police Command began to cordon off the area of the conflict and intervened to disperse it, but the force came under gunfire from both sides of the conflict, prompting them to respond with force."
It continued: "They also initiated a security campaign to search the area and managed to arrest 27 suspects in this conflict and seized a Kalashnikov rifle."
According to eyewitnesses, the scene quickly spiraled out of control, as gunfire extended to neighboring residential areas, before flames completely engulfed the guesthouse of one of the local sheikhs, and a vehicle caught fire amid thick columns of smoke, while a state of panic spread among the residents who rushed to seek shelter inside their homes.
