أعلنت أسرة ثرية في شمال لندن حاجتها إلى معلّم خاص يتولى تربية طفلها منذ عامه الأول ليصبح «شاباً إنجليزياً مثالياً»، مقابل راتب سنوي يبلغ 180 ألف جنيه إسترليني، في إعلان أثار جدلاً واسعاً على مواقع التواصل البريطانية.
وبحسب ما نقلته صحيفة «ديلي ميل»، تبحث العائلة عن مدرس مثقف من خلفية اجتماعية راقية يجيد التعامل مع أبناء الأسر الثرية والملكية، وقادر على غرس القيم البريطانية التقليدية منذ المراحل الأولى من الطفولة، تمهيداً لإلحاق الطفل مستقبلاً بمدارس النخبة مثل Eton وHarrow.
الإعلان المنشور على منصة Times Educational Supplement أوضح أن المهمة لا تقتصر على الرعاية اليومية، بل تشمل تشكيل شخصية الطفل ثقافياً وسلوكياً عبر تعريفه بالموسيقى الكلاسيكية والرياضات الأرستقراطية كالبولو والتجديف، وحضوره فعاليات مرموقة مثل Wimbledon وLord’s وTwickenham.
وقال مؤسس شركة Tutors International آدم كالير إن الطلب ليس استثنائياً، مؤكداً أن أكثر من 60 متقدماً عبّروا عن رغبتهم في شغل الوظيفة، بينهم مرشحون عملوا سابقاً مع عائلات ملكية.
وأضاف كالير أن الهدف من البرنامج هو بناء «بيئة ثنائية الثقافة» تجعل الطفل متمكناً من السلوكيات والمهارات البريطانية منذ الصغر، مشيراً إلى أن العقد سيستمر لسنوات عدة لضمان تكوين قاعدة معرفية وسلوكية متكاملة.
A wealthy family in North London has announced its need for a private tutor to raise their child from the age of one to become an "ideal English young man," in exchange for an annual salary of £180,000, in an advertisement that has sparked widespread controversy on British social media.
According to what was reported by the "Daily Mail," the family is looking for an educated teacher from an upper-class background who is skilled in dealing with children from wealthy and royal families, and who can instill traditional British values from the early stages of childhood, in preparation for enrolling the child in elite schools like Eton and Harrow in the future.
The advertisement published on the Times Educational Supplement platform clarified that the role is not limited to daily care, but also includes shaping the child's character culturally and behaviorally by introducing them to classical music and aristocratic sports such as polo and rowing, as well as attending prestigious events like Wimbledon, Lord's, and Twickenham.
Adam Caller, the founder of Tutors International, stated that the demand is not exceptional, confirming that more than 60 applicants have expressed their desire to fill the position, including candidates who have previously worked with royal families.
Caller added that the aim of the program is to build a "bilingual culture" environment that enables the child to master British behaviors and skills from a young age, noting that the contract will last for several years to ensure the development of a comprehensive knowledge and behavioral foundation.
