بطلة عمرها 10 سنوات
لكن شقيقته ليا ذات الأعوام العشرة، لم تتردد للحظة. وبرد فعل سريع، بدأت تنفذ ضربات ظهر مدروسة أنقذت حياته، مستحضرة ما تعلّمته من دروس الإسعافات الأولية، التي كانت قد تلقتها من والدتها.

هيذر جيمس (والدة ليا وعضو فريق البرامج الخاصة في شرطة لافون)، أكدت لقناة NBC أنها كانت في المطبخ حين حدثت الواقعة، وأن ما رأته لاحقاً في الفيديو جعلها تبكي من الفخر، مشددة على أهمية تعليم الأطفال مهارات الإنقاذ.
درس لن ينساه أحد
شددت الشرطة والخبراء الصحيون على أن ما حصل يسلط الضوء على خطورة لحظات الاختناق، ووصفوه بـ«كابوس كل والد»، مشيرين إلى أهمية التصرّف السريع والتعليم المسبق. كما وعد الطفل لوغان بعدم الجمع بين اللعب وتناول الطعام مجدداً.

Heather James (Leah's mother and a member of the special programs team in Lavon Police) confirmed to NBC that she was in the kitchen when the incident occurred, and what she saw later in the video made her cry with pride, emphasizing the importance of teaching children lifesaving skills.
A Lesson No One Will Forget
The police and health experts stressed that what happened highlights the dangers of choking moments, describing it as "every parent's nightmare," pointing out the importance of quick action and prior education. Young Logan also promised not to combine playing and eating again.
