أصيب ستة أشخاص اليوم (الخميس) في العاصمة اليابانية طوكيو، بعد اندلاع حريق في شقة سكنية يُرجّح أن سببه شاحن بطارية هاتف محمول.
ووفق ما نقلته هيئة الإذاعة والتلفزيون اليابانية (NHK)، اندلعت النيران قبيل الساعة الثانية فجراً في مبنى سكني من خمسة طوابق يقع في حي سوجينامي. وقد أبلغ أحد السكان الشرطة بأن الشرارة الأولى جاءت من شاحن هاتف داخل إحدى الشقق.
جهود الإطفاء
سارعت قوات الدفاع المدني إلى الموقع بـ29 سيارة إطفاء، وتمكّنت من السيطرة على الحريق بعد نحو ساعتين من اندلاعه. وقد تركزت النيران في غرفة بالطابق الثاني حيث كانت تقيم فتاة شابة.
إصابات غير خطيرة
ونُقل ستة أشخاص إلى المستشفى نتيجة استنشاق الدخان، بينهم الفتاة التي أكدت أنها كانت نائمة وهاتفها موصول بالشاحن، قبل أن توقظها أصوات الانفجار وترى النيران أمامها. وأشارت الشرطة إلى أن الإصابات لا تُعتبر خطيرة.
Six people were injured today (Thursday) in the Japanese capital Tokyo after a fire broke out in an apartment, which is believed to have been caused by a mobile phone charger.
According to the Japanese Broadcasting Corporation (NHK), the fire ignited shortly before 2 AM in a five-story residential building located in the Suginami district. One of the residents reported to the police that the initial spark came from a phone charger inside one of the apartments.
Firefighting Efforts
The civil defense forces rushed to the scene with 29 fire trucks and managed to control the fire after about two hours. The flames were concentrated in a room on the second floor where a young girl was staying.
Non-Life-Threatening Injuries
Six people were taken to the hospital due to smoke inhalation, including the girl who confirmed that she was asleep with her phone plugged into the charger before being awakened by the sounds of the explosion and seeing the flames in front of her. The police indicated that the injuries are not considered serious.
