استيقظت مدينة بورسعيد المصرية على جريمة مروعة راح ضحيتها طفل لم يتجاوز الثالثة عشرة من عمره، بعد أن واجه ببسالة لصًا حاول سرقة محل والده في منطقة البازار بحي الشرق.
وكشفت التحريات الأولية أن المتهم كان على صلة سابقة بالمجني عليه ووالده، إذ اعتاد التردد على المنطقة نتيجة عمله السابق في أحد المحلات المجاورة. وبحسب شهود عيان، جلس الجاني مع الطفل لبضع دقائق محاولًا إيهامه بالطمأنينة قبل أن ينقلب الموقف سريعًا، ويستعمل سلاحًا أبيض لطعنه في الرقبة والظهر، مما أدى إلى وفاته على الفور.
وسرعان ما تجمّع الأهالي وتمكّنوا من السيطرة على الجاني قبل وصول قوات الأمن، التي شكلت فريقًا جنائيًا لضبط المتهم والأداة المستخدمة، وتحويله للنيابة العامة لمباشرة التحقيقات.
وتُبرز الجريمة مأساوية وفاة الطفل دفاعًا عن مصدر رزق أسرته، في مشهد يذكّر بشجاعة الأطفال رغم صغر سنهم.
The Egyptian city of Port Said woke up to a horrific crime that claimed the life of a child who had not yet turned thirteen, after he bravely confronted a thief attempting to rob his father's shop in the bazaar area of the eastern district.
Initial investigations revealed that the suspect had a previous connection with the victim and his father, as he used to frequent the area due to his previous work in one of the neighboring shops. According to eyewitnesses, the perpetrator sat with the child for a few minutes, trying to reassure him before the situation quickly escalated, and he used a sharp weapon to stab him in the neck and back, resulting in his immediate death.
Residents quickly gathered and managed to subdue the perpetrator before the security forces arrived, who formed a criminal team to apprehend the suspect and the weapon used, and to transfer him to the public prosecution to initiate investigations.
The crime highlights the tragic death of the child defending his family's livelihood, in a scene that reminds us of the bravery of children despite their young age.
