أصدر مغني الراب البريطاني جيريل أوكونور، المعروف باسم «لوسكي»، ألبوماً جديداً بعنوان «Be Right Back» من داخل السجن، مستخدماً صورته الجنائية كغلاف للألبوم.
ويروج أوكونور (26 عاماً) للألبوم، الذي يحتوي على ستة مسارات جديدة متاحة على منصة «سبوتيفاي» ومنصات البث الأخرى، لمتابعيه البالغ عددهم 382 ألف على «إنستغرام»، مستخدماً صوراً من السجن، بما في ذلك وثيقة ملطخة بالدماء مختومة بختم «خدمة السجون البريطانية».
وتتضمن الأغاني إشارات إلى المخدرات والعنف وتهديدات ضد المنافسين، إذ يقول أوكونور في إحدى الأغنيات: «لا تجعلني أتصرف بحماقة، كنت أذهب للجانب الآخر وأطلق النار على شخص من الملل».
وأُلقي القبض على «أوكونور» في 12 يوليو بالقرب من موقع حادث مروري مميت على طريق M40 في باكينغهامشير، حيث عثرت الشرطة على سكين قابلة للطي بحوزته بعد شجار مع ضباط.
وبعد ثلاثة أيام، حكمت محكمة الصلح في هاي ويكومب بسجنه ثمانية أشهر بتهمتي حيازة سلاح أبيض وعرقلة ضابط شرطة، وتوفي رجل يبلغ من العمر 27 عاماً في الحادث.
كان «أوكونور»، وهو من فارنهام رويال في باكينغهامشير، قد أُطلق سراحه بشروط في وقت سابق بعد حكم بالسجن سبع سنوات في 2023 لحيازته مسدساً محشواً.
وفي أبريل 2019، أُلقي القبض عليه أثناء استجوابه بشأن مقتل أحد معارفه طعناً في هجوم انتقامي مشتبه به، وعثرت الشرطة على مسدس محشو مخبأ تحت مقعد سيارة أوبر كان يستقلها، وأدين بجميع التهم في محكمة كرويدون.
The British rapper Jeril O'Connor, known as "Lowski," has released a new album titled "Be Right Back" from inside prison, using his mugshot as the album cover.
O'Connor (26 years old) is promoting the album, which features six new tracks available on Spotify and other streaming platforms, to his 382,000 followers on Instagram, using images from prison, including a blood-stained document stamped with the "British Prison Service" seal.
The songs include references to drugs, violence, and threats against rivals, as O'Connor says in one of the songs: "Don't make me act foolish, I was going to the other side and shooting someone out of boredom."
O'Connor was arrested on July 12 near the scene of a fatal traffic accident on the M40 in Buckinghamshire, where police found a folding knife in his possession after a scuffle with officers.
Three days later, the High Wycombe Magistrates' Court sentenced him to eight months in prison for possession of an offensive weapon and obstructing a police officer, and a 27-year-old man died in the incident.
O'Connor, who is from Farnham Royal in Buckinghamshire, had been released on license earlier after serving a seven-year sentence in 2023 for possessing a loaded gun.
In April 2019, he was arrested while being questioned about the stabbing death of an acquaintance in a suspected retaliatory attack, and police found a loaded gun hidden under the seat of an Uber car he was riding in, and he was convicted on all charges in Croydon Court.
