هزّت حادثة طعن مروعة منطقة ساوثوارك وسط العاصمة البريطانية لندن، حيث أسفرت عن مقتل شخصين وإصابة اثنين آخرين، بينهم المشتبه به الذي يرقد في حالة حرجة بالمستشفى، ووقعت الحادثة داخل مقر شركة في المنطقة، ما أثار حالة من الذعر بين الموظفين والسكان المحليين.
ووفقا لشرطة العاصمة البريطانية، تلقت السلطات بلاغا حول الحادثة في ساعات الصباح الباكر، حيث هرعت قوات الشرطة وسيارات الإسعاف إلى المكان، وأفادت الشرطة أن رجلا يبلغ من العمر 58 عاما لقي حتفه في الموقع، بينما توفي شاب يبلغ 27 عاما متأثرا بجراحه في المستشفى. كما تم نقل المصابين الآخرين، بمن فيهم المشتبه به إلى المستشفى لتلقي العلاج، حيث يخضع الأخير للمراقبة تحت حراسة مشددة.
