أجلت السلطات الصينية مئات الآلاف من المواطنين جنوب الصين، وتم إلغاء الرحلات الجوية ورحلات القطارات بسبب إعصار «ويبا».
وأصدرت إدارة الأرصاد الجوية الصينية تحذيراً «برتقالياً» من الإعصار، وهو ثاني أعلى مستوى من نظام مكوّن من 4 درجات، اليوم (الأحد)، متوقعة أن يصل الإعصار إلى اليابسة بين «تشوهاي» و«تشانغيانغ» في إقليم «غواندونغ» بعد ظهر أو مساء اليوم.
وتسبب الإعصار، الذي ضرب بالفعل تايوان والفلبين أيضا، في هبوب رياح قوية وهطول أمطار غزيرة في إقليمي «فوجيان» و«هاينان»، إضافة إلى هونغ كونغ، حيث تم رفع مستوى التحذير من الإعصار رقم 10، عند وصوله إلى اليابسة، ومن المتوقع أن تصل شدة إعصار «ويبا» ما بين 13 و14 درجة، مصحوباً برياحٍ سرعتها تتجاوز 150 كيلومتراً في الساعة.

The China Meteorological Administration issued an "orange" warning for the typhoon, which is the second highest level in a 4-tier system, today (Sunday), predicting that the typhoon will make landfall between "Zhuhai" and "Changjiang" in Guangdong Province this afternoon or evening.
The typhoon, which has already affected Taiwan and the Philippines, has caused strong winds and heavy rainfall in the provinces of "Fujian" and "Hainan," as well as in Hong Kong, where the typhoon warning level was raised to number 10 upon its landfall. The intensity of Typhoon "Wipha" is expected to reach between 13 and 14, accompanied by winds exceeding 150 kilometers per hour.
