على الفور تحركت قوات الحماية المدنية بسرعة وكفاءة للسيطرة على الحريق، مانعة امتداده إلى باقي أجزاء المول، دون تسجيل أي إصابات أو خسائر بشرية.
تلقت غرفة عمليات الحماية المدنية بمحافظة الجيزة بلاغاً عاجلاً، يفيد بتصاعد أعمدة دخان كثيفة من محل تجاري يقع في الدور الأرضي للمول، والذي يُعد من أبرز المراكز التجارية في المنطقة، حيث يستقطب آلاف الزوار يومياً.
وهرعت سيارات الإطفاء، مدعومة بفرق الإنقاذ، إلى موقع الحادث، وتمكنت من إخلاء العاملين والمتسوقين بأمان، مع فرض طوق أمني حول المول لتأمين المنطقة وضمان سلامة المارة.
وأوضح مصدر أمني أن الفحص الأولي لموقع الحريق أشار إلى أن السبب المحتمل هو ماس كهربائي في أحد الأجهزة الكهربائية داخل المحل، مما أدى إلى اشتعال النيران في محتويات المحل وتضرر واجهته الزجاجية بشكل جزئي.
ونجحت فرق الإطفاء في احتواء الحريق بسرعة، مما حال دون امتداده إلى المحال المجاورة أو الأدوار العلوية للمول.
تُعد منطقة الشيخ زايد من أكثر المناطق الحيوية في غرب القاهرة، حيث تضم العديد من المراكز التجارية والمولات التي تُعتبر وجهة رئيسية للتسوق والترفيه.
