أثارت واقعة الطفلة العراقية «رندا» موجة غضب عارمة على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي خلال اليومين الماضيين، بعد ظهور الطفلة مع والدتها في مقابلة تلفزيونية محلية، وكانت ابنتها الصغيرة ذات البشرة السمراء تقف بجانبها حين سألتها المذيعة عمّا إذا كانت الطفلة هي ابنتها، فجاء رد الأم مصحوبًا بضحكة ساخرة قائلة باللهجة العراقية «جلحة»، قبل أن تُبعد ابنتها قليلاً عن الكاميرا، وهي كلمة دارجة تُستخدم بمعنى قبيحة.
و«جلحة» كلمة دارجة باللهجة العراقية، تُستعمل في بعض البيوت كنوع من السخرية.
وما إن خرجت الكلمة من فم الأم أمام الكاميرا، حتى اعتبرها الجمهور إهانة علنية لطفلة لم تتجاوز العشر سنوات!، ووصفوا الطفلة بالملكة السومرية، والشابة السمراء الفاتنة.
وانهالت الانتقادات على الأم ووُصفت بأنها متنمّرة، قاسية، تقلل من قيمة ابنتها أمام الناس، بل وصل الأمر إلى اتهامها بأنها تمارس تنمرًا أسريًا مباشرًا أمام الجمهور، وربما تُسيء معاملة الطفلة في الخفاء.
الأم التي قالت خلال اللقاء بأنها تفضل الزواج عن حب أكثر من الزواج التقليدي، لم تشفع لها إجابتها الرومانسية أمام الجمهور الذي شن عليها هجوماً قاسياً، مما دفع ابنتها السمراء الصغيرة (رندا) للظهور مجددًا في فيديو للدفاع عن والدتها، مؤكدة أن الأخيرة تدلعها بـ«البنت الجلحة».
وشددت الابنة على أنه ليس كل ما يحكى على مواقع التواصل صحيح، متمنية إنهاء الجدل والانتقادات التي لا طائل منها.
وبدا للبعض أن رد الطفلة محاولة لتلطيف الموقف، أو ربما لحماية صورة الأم بعد أن تحوّلت إلى محور نقد واسع. بل ورأوا في رد الطفلة ما يُشير إلى خلل أعمق: حين يُجبر الابن أو الابنة على تبرير الإهانة دفاعًا عن الأسرة أمام المجتمع.
وشاركت الفنانة أحلام بدعم الطفلة العراقية عبر منصة X وكتبت: «يلجمالك سومري ونظرات عينك بابلية»
من جانبها، علقت الفنانة العراقية شذى حسون على الفيديو المتداول وقالت عبر حسابها في «انستقرام» «انتي جميلة حبيبتي وأمج أكيد كانت تضحك وياج لان مستحيل أم تحجي على بنتها و تتنمر عليها مستحيل».
The incident involving the Iraqi girl "Randa" has sparked a wave of outrage on social media platforms over the past two days, after the girl appeared with her mother in a local television interview. The little girl, with her dark skin, stood beside her when the host asked the mother if the girl was her daughter. The mother's response was accompanied by a sarcastic laugh, saying in the Iraqi dialect "Jalha," before she moved her daughter slightly away from the camera, a term commonly used to mean ugly.
"Jalha" is a colloquial term in the Iraqi dialect, used in some households as a form of mockery.
As soon as the word left the mother's mouth in front of the camera, the audience considered it a public insult to a girl who has not yet turned ten! They described the girl as a Sumerian queen and a stunning dark-skinned young lady.
Criticism poured in on the mother, who was described as a bully, harsh, and belittling her daughter in front of others. The situation escalated to accusations that she was engaging in direct familial bullying in public and possibly mistreating the girl in private.
The mother, who said during the interview that she prefers love marriages over traditional ones, did not find her romantic answer redeeming in the eyes of the audience, who launched a fierce attack against her. This prompted her little dark-skinned daughter (Randa) to appear again in a video defending her mother, confirming that the latter affectionately calls her "the jalha girl."
The daughter emphasized that not everything said on social media is true, wishing to end the pointless controversy and criticism.
To some, the girl's response seemed like an attempt to soften the situation or perhaps to protect her mother's image after it became the center of widespread criticism. They even saw in the girl's response an indication of a deeper issue: when a son or daughter is forced to justify an insult in defense of the family in front of society.
The artist Ahlam showed support for the Iraqi girl through platform X, writing: "Your beauty is Sumerian, and the look in your eyes is Babylonian."
For her part, Iraqi artist Shatha Hassoun commented on the circulating video, saying through her Instagram account, "You are beautiful, my dear, and your mother was definitely laughing with you because it's impossible for a mother to speak ill of her daughter and bully her, it's impossible."
