تسلمت السلطات الكويتية من نظيرتها الماليزية الهارب مساعد المسيليم، بعدما أوقفته الأخيرة في بلادها بناء على مذكرة دولية من «الإنتربول» كون المسيليم مطلوباً، وفقاً لوسائل إعلام كويتية.
وتسلّم الأمن الكويتي الهارب مساعد المسيليم لدى وصوله مطار الكويت، لإتمام إجراءات حجزه وبدء التحقيق معه تمهيداً لإحالته للمحاكمة.
وحذّر النائب الأول لرئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الداخلية الشيخ فهد اليوسف من اختار هجر الكويت والإقامة خارجها وإيذاء بلده من الخارج من مغبة المضي قدماً على هذه الطريقة، مؤكداً في تحذيره أنهم عائدون في يوم ما، ولكنهم سيعودون بوجه أسود لا يمكنهم من الوقوف بشرف وعزة بين الناس بعدما استمرأوا إيذاء الكويت. وقال «لن ينجو أحد من هذا المصير».
وقال اليوسف في معرض تعليقه على ضبط وإحضار الهارب منذ سنة 2015 من البلاد وتسلم الكويت له إيذاناً ببدء التحقيق معه ومحاكمته عن كل ما فات: «من اختاروا هجر الكويت وظنوا أن وجودهم في الخارج يعطيهم حق التطاول والتلفيق والإيذاء، عليهم أن يتوبوا عن أفعالهم السيئة ويشاهدوا مصير من سبقوهم، فلا مناص من عودتهم، وشتّان ما بين العائد بشرف إلى بلاده رافعاً رأسه بعلم أخذه أو درجة علمية نالها أو جائزة مرموقة حصل عليها، وبين من عاد مطأطئاً رأسه خجلاً من أفعاله التي آذى عبرها الكويت وأهلها وتطاول على قياداتها».
The Kuwaiti authorities received the fugitive, Musaad Al-Masaylim, from their Malaysian counterparts after the latter arrested him in their country based on an international warrant from Interpol, as Al-Masaylim is wanted, according to Kuwaiti media.
The Kuwaiti security forces took custody of the fugitive Musaad Al-Masaylim upon his arrival at Kuwait Airport to complete the procedures for his detention and begin interrogating him in preparation for his trial.
The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yusuf warned those who chose to abandon Kuwait and reside abroad while harming their country from outside about the consequences of continuing down this path, affirming in his warning that they will return one day, but they will return with a tarnished reputation that will prevent them from standing with honor and dignity among people after they have grown accustomed to harming Kuwait. He said, "No one will escape this fate."
Al-Yusuf, commenting on the arrest and extradition of the fugitive who has been on the run since 2015, stated that Kuwait's receipt of him signals the beginning of the investigation and trial for all that he has done: "Those who chose to abandon Kuwait and thought that their presence abroad gave them the right to insult, fabricate, and harm should repent for their bad actions and witness the fate of those who preceded them. There is no escape from their return, and there is a vast difference between returning with honor to their country, raising their heads with a degree they earned or a prestigious award they received, and between returning with their heads bowed in shame for the actions through which they harmed Kuwait and its people and insulted its leaders."
