عثرت الأجهزة الأمنية المصرية على جثمان حفيد سيدة الأعمال نوال الدجوي، داخل شقته في أكتوبر. وكشفت وزارة الداخلية المصرية تفاصيل جديدة عن الواقعة في بيان صحفي: «في ضوء ما تم تداوله على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي بشأن ملابسات وفاة أحمد الدجوي حفيد السيدة نوال الدجوى، بالفحص تبين أنه بتاريخ اليوم 25 الجاري تبلغ قسم شرطة أول أكتوبر بالجيزة من أسرة المذكور بقيامه بإطلاق عيار ناري على نفسه مستخدماً طبنجة مرخصة خاصة به حال تواجده بمحل إقامته بأحد المنتجعات السكنية بدائرة القسم مما أدى إلى وفاته».
وأشار البيان إلى أن التحريات كشفت أن أحمد الدجوي كان يعالج في الفترة الأخيرة من أمراض نفسية، وسافر للخارج في رحلة علاجية في هذا الإطار، وعاد للبلاد مساء 24 الجاري.. وتم اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية.
وكانت الأيام القليلة الماضية قد شهدت أزمة كبيرة بين الدكتورة نوال الدجوي وأحفادها، بعدما اتهمت بعضهم بسرقة أموال طائلة من داخل منزلها بمنطقة السادس من أكتوبر، التي وصلت إلى 300 مليون جنيه مصري.
وقالت نوال الدجوي إنها فوجئت بكسر باب غرفة نومها وتغيير الأرقام السرية للخزائن داخل المنزل، الذي يحتمل أنها غابت عنه منذ أواخر عام 2023، إذ تقيم بمنزل آخر بحي الزمالك بالقاهرة.
وأكدت أيضاً أن مفاتيح المنزل الذي تعرض للسرقة، كانت لدى عدد من الأقارب نسخة منه، ما يوسع من دائرة المتهمين، إلا أن الدجوي وجهت اتهامها لأحد أحفادها على وجه الخصوص، الذي تم استجوابه من قبل السلطات.
The Egyptian security forces found the body of the grandson of businesswoman Nawal El-Degwi inside his apartment in October. The Egyptian Ministry of Interior revealed new details about the incident in a press statement: "In light of what has been circulated on social media regarding the circumstances of the death of Ahmed El-Degwi, the grandson of Mrs. Nawal El-Degwi, it was found that on the 25th of this month, the First October Police Department in Giza received a report from the family of the mentioned individual that he had shot himself using a licensed pistol while at his residence in a residential resort within the jurisdiction of the department, which led to his death."
The statement indicated that investigations revealed that Ahmed El-Degwi had been undergoing treatment for psychological disorders in recent times, had traveled abroad for a therapeutic trip in this context, and returned to the country on the evening of the 24th of this month. Legal procedures have been taken.
The past few days had witnessed a major crisis between Dr. Nawal El-Degwi and her grandchildren, after she accused some of them of stealing large sums of money from her home in the Sixth of October area, amounting to 300 million Egyptian pounds.
Nawal El-Degwi stated that she was surprised to find the door of her bedroom broken and the security codes of the safes inside the house changed, which she had likely been absent from since late 2023, as she resides in another house in the Zamalek neighborhood of Cairo.
She also confirmed that several relatives had copies of the keys to the house that was robbed, which broadens the circle of suspects; however, El-Degwi specifically accused one of her grandchildren, who has been interrogated by the authorities.
