في تحول محوري بمشهد السياحة العالمية، أصبحت تونس وجهة علاجية لا تُضاهى، بعد أن استقطبت سبعة ملايين سائح خلال عام 2025، 70 % منهم قدموا من الخارج للاستشفاء بالمياه الطبيعية والمعالجة بالمراكز الصحية المتخصصة، وفق ما كشف المدير العام بوزارة الصحة التونسية وليد نعيجة.
وقال نعيجة إن هذا الرقم يمثل زيادة بنسبة 5 % عن العام السابق، مؤكدًا أن تونس تسعى لتحويل الاستشفاء بالمياه إلى قطاع محوري في تصدير الخدمات الصحية، واستقطاب أسواق جديدة، مستفيدة من شهرتها في إفريقيا وحوض البحر المتوسط، خصوصًا بين السياح الأوروبيين.
وتضم تونس 490 مركزًا من محطات استشفائية وحمامات معدنية ومراكز استشفاء بمياه البحر المالحة أو المياه العذبة، لتقدم حلولًا علاجية فعّالة للأمراض المزمنة مثل التهاب المفاصل وأمراض الجهاز التنفسي، إضافة إلى تحسين التأهيل الوظيفي والصحة النفسية، بحسب تصريحات نعيجة.
ورغم النجاح الكبير، أشار نعيجة إلى الحاجة لاستثمارات إضافية لتطوير البنية التحتية، خصوصًا مشاريع المدن الاستشفائية التي انتهت وزارة السياحة التونسية من الدراسات الفنية والاقتصادية الخاصة بها، لضمان استمرار النمو وتحقيق مكانة رائدة لتونس عالميًا.
In a pivotal shift in the global tourism scene, Tunisia has become an unparalleled therapeutic destination, having attracted seven million tourists in 2025, 70% of whom came from abroad for natural water treatments and specialized health centers, according to Walid Naija, the Director General at the Tunisian Ministry of Health.
Naija stated that this figure represents a 5% increase over the previous year, emphasizing that Tunisia aims to transform water therapy into a key sector for exporting health services and attracting new markets, benefiting from its reputation in Africa and the Mediterranean basin, especially among European tourists.
Tunisia boasts 490 centers, including therapeutic stations, mineral baths, and seawater or freshwater treatment centers, offering effective therapeutic solutions for chronic diseases such as arthritis and respiratory diseases, in addition to improving functional rehabilitation and mental health, according to Naija's statements.
Despite the significant success, Naija pointed out the need for additional investments to develop infrastructure, especially for therapeutic city projects for which the Tunisian Ministry of Tourism has completed the technical and economic studies, to ensure continued growth and achieve a leading position for Tunisia globally.
