أكد المحاضر في الاتحادين السعودي والآسيوي لكرة القدم سعود المشعان، أن تطوير المنتخبات الوطنية لا يرتبط فقط بالمدرب أو الخطط الفنية أو اختيارات اللاعبين، مشيراً إلى أن العامل الأهم على المدى الطويل يتمثل في جودة التكوين وبناء اللاعب منذ المراحل السنية الأولى.
وأوضح المشعان لـ«عكاظ» أن اللاعب لا يكتسب خلال سنوات التكوين المهارات الأساسية فقط، بل يبني ما وصفه بـ«النماذج الذهنية» للعبة، التي تؤثر على قدرته في قراءة المواقف، وسرعة اتخاذ القرار، والتمركز، والتعامل مع الضغوط داخل الملعب.
وأضاف أن البيئة التدريبية التي ينشأ فيها اللاعب تلعب الدور الأكبر في تشكيل شخصيته الكروية، موضحاً أن وجود محتوى تدريبي علمي، وتدرج مناسب، ومبادئ لعب واضحة، يساعد اللاعب على الوصول إلى المستوى الاحترافي وهو يمتلك قاعدة قوية تسمح له بالتطور المستمر.
وأشار إلى أن وصول اللاعب إلى الفريق الأول رغم ضعف التكوين قد يحدث بفضل الموهبة، لكنه غالباً يحمل نواقص يصعب تصحيحها في مراحل متقدمة من مسيرته.
وانتقد المشعان التركيز على الحلول قصيرة المدى في تطوير كرة القدم، مثل إعداد المنتخبات قبل البطولات بفترات محدودة أو الاعتماد على إرسال اللاعبين للاحتراف الخارجي باعتباره الحل الرئيسي للتطوير، مؤكداً أن اللاعب لا يتغير تكوينه خلال فترة قصيرة أو بمجرد الانتقال إلى أوروبا.
وقال إن التطوير الحقيقي يبدأ من العمل اليومي داخل الأكاديميات، ومن خلال تدريب اللاعب على الإدراك، واتخاذ القرار، وفهم المساحات، واللعب تحت الضغط، إضافة إلى وجود مدربين قادرين على بناء اللاعب على مدى سنوات.
وأضاف المشعان أن السعودية تمتلك الإمكانات والبنية التحتية والعنصر البشري، مشيراً إلى أن الحاجة الأساسية تتمثل في تطوير منظومة التكوين، وليس الاعتماد فقط على التجارب الخارجية.
وشدد على أن المنتخب الأول يعد انعكاساً لما تم بناؤه قبل سنوات طويلة، وليس لما يتم إنجازه قبل البطولات بفترة قصيرة، مؤكداً أن بناء منظومة موحدة للمراحل السنية تعتمد على معايير فنية وتكتيكية وإدراكية حديثة هو الطريق لصناعة لاعب قادر على المنافسة على أعلى المستويات.
وختم المشعان حديثه بالتأكيد على أن اللاعب الذي يتخرج من بيئة تدريبية صحيحة يصل إلى المنتخب وهو يمتلك أدوات المنافسة، بدلاً من محاولة اكتسابها بعد الوصول إلى المستوى الأعلى.
The lecturer at the Saudi and Asian Football Federations, Saud Al-Mushaan, confirmed that the development of national teams is not only linked to the coach, technical plans, or player selections, pointing out that the most important factor in the long term is the quality of training and player development from the early age stages.
Al-Mushaan explained to "Okaz" that during the training years, a player does not only acquire basic skills but also builds what he described as "mental models" of the game, which affect his ability to read situations, make quick decisions, position himself, and handle pressure on the field.
He added that the training environment in which a player grows plays the biggest role in shaping his football personality, clarifying that having scientific training content, appropriate progression, and clear playing principles helps the player reach a professional level while possessing a strong foundation that allows for continuous development.
He pointed out that a player reaching the first team despite weak training may happen due to talent, but he often carries deficiencies that are difficult to correct in the later stages of his career.
Al-Mushaan criticized the focus on short-term solutions in football development, such as preparing national teams before tournaments for limited periods or relying on sending players abroad for professional opportunities as the main solution for development, emphasizing that a player's composition does not change in a short time or merely by moving to Europe.
He stated that real development starts from daily work within academies, training the player on awareness, decision-making, understanding spaces, and playing under pressure, in addition to having coaches capable of building the player over the years.
Al-Mushaan added that Saudi Arabia has the potential, infrastructure, and human resources, noting that the primary need is to develop the training system, rather than relying solely on external experiences.
He emphasized that the first team reflects what has been built over many years, not what is achieved shortly before tournaments, confirming that building a unified system for age stages based on modern technical, tactical, and cognitive standards is the way to create a player capable of competing at the highest levels.
Al-Mushaan concluded his remarks by affirming that a player who graduates from a proper training environment reaches the national team equipped with competitive tools, rather than trying to acquire them after reaching the higher level.
