سجّل النجم البرتغالي كريستيانو رونالدو هدفين قاد بهما منتخب بلاده إلى الفوز على أوزبكستان بنتيجة 5-0، على ملعب «إن آر جي ستاديوم»، أمس (الثلاثاء)، ضمن منافسات الجولة الثانية من دور المجموعات في كأس العالم 2026.
وفي حديثه حول المباراة، أشار رونالدو إلى أن الفترة الماضية كانت صعبة، موضحاً: «لقد كان أسبوعاً صعباً، أسبوعاً كئيباً»، بحسب ما نقل موقع «يورو سبورت».
وأضاف: «شعرت وكأنني قد اعتزلت بالفعل. كان الرأي العام قاسياً عليّ وعلى المدرب، لكنني أعمل في هذه المهنة منذ 23 عاماً».
وتابع: «عندما تسوء النتائج، يُقال إن رونالدو قد اعتزل أو أصبح متقدماً في السن، لكننا نرد في الملعب. اليوم قدّمنا ما يجب تقديمه».

In his remarks about the match, Ronaldo noted that the past period had been difficult, explaining: "It has been a tough week, a gloomy week," according to what was reported by "Euro Sport."
He added: "I felt as if I had already retired. Public opinion has been harsh on me and the coach, but I have been working in this profession for 23 years."
He continued: "When results go bad, it is said that Ronaldo has retired or is getting old, but we respond on the field. Today we delivered what needed to be delivered."
