سيخوض منتخبنا الوطني السعودي لقاءه أمام العراق بفرصتَي الفوز أو التعادل للوصول لكأس العالم للمرة السابعة في تاريخه.
وبعد فوز العراق على إندونيسيا بهدف دون مقابل، أصبح ترتيب منتخبات المجموعة الثانية كالتالي:
يتصدر منتخبنا الوطني السعودي المجموعة برصيد 3 نقاط من انتصار، وأحرز 3 أهداف واستقبلت شباكه هدفين، ويأتي ثانياً منتخب العراق إذ يمتلك 3 نقاط من فوز، وله هدف وحيد وبشباك نظيفة، ويتفوق المنتخب السعودي بأفضلية التسجيل بعد تساوي فارق الأهداف (+1) لكل منهما، فيما يأتي منتخب إندونيسيا في المركز الثالث (الأخير) دون نقاط، من خسارتين وله هدفان وعليه 4 أهداف، ليغادر منافسات الملحق الآسيوي المؤهل لكأس العالم 2026.
وتبقى احتمالات التأهل منحصرة بين المنتخبين السعودي والعراقي، كالتالي:

• الفوز.. يتأهل مباشرةً.
• التعادل.. يتأهل مباشرةً.
• الخسارة.. يحتل المركز الثاني ويخوض لقاء فاصلاً مع ثاني المجموعة الأولى.
احتمالات المنتخب العراقي:
• الفوز.. يؤهله مباشرةً.
• التعادل أو الخسارة.. يخوض لقاء فاصلاً مع ثاني المجموعة الأولى.
