وجّه وزير الرياضة الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي الفيصل، بالتحقيق في ما حدث في لقاء العروبة والقادسية، الذي أُقيم على ملعب جامعة الجوف ضمن دور الـ32 من مسابقة كأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين.
وشهد اللقاء غياباً جماهيرياً تاماً، ورغم وجود الجماهير خارج الملعب إلا أنهم لم يستطيعوا دخول الملعب ومشاهدة المباراة رغم وجود تذاكر لديهم، ما تسبب في غضب الجماهير التي غادرت قبل نهاية الشوط الأول، خصوصاً جماهير نادي القادسية التي حضرت من مدينة الخبر، وتكبدت عناء السفر.
وقال المتحدث باسم وزارة الرياضة في بيان رسمي تم نشره عبر منصة «X»: «إشارةً إلى ما شهدته مباراة العروبة والقادسية التي أُقيمت على ملعب جامعة الجوف ضمن مسابقة كأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين، وحيث لم تلتزم إدارة نادي العروبة بالتعاقد مع شركة منظمة لتشغيل المباراة، وفقاً لما تم الاتفاق عليه في الاجتماع التنسيقي الذي عُقد يوم الإثنين 22 سبتمبر 2025، بحضور ممثل نادي العروبة وتوقيعه على محضر الاجتماع. وعليه فقد وجّه وزير الرياضة بالتحقيق في ما حدث، والرفع بالنتائج خلال ثلاثة أيام، واتخاذ جميع الإجراءات اللازمة حيال ذلك».

The Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, directed an investigation into what happened during the match between Al-Orouba and Al-Qadisiyah, which took place at the Al-Jouf University Stadium as part of the Round of 32 of the King’s Cup.
The match witnessed a complete absence of fans, and despite the presence of fans outside the stadium, they were unable to enter and watch the match even though they had tickets, which caused anger among the fans who left before the end of the first half, especially the fans of Al-Qadisiyah who traveled from the city of Khobar and endured the trouble of traveling.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Sports stated in an official statement published via the “X” platform: “In reference to what occurred during the match between Al-Orouba and Al-Qadisiyah held at Al-Jouf University Stadium as part of the King’s Cup, and since the management of Al-Orouba Club did not adhere to the agreement with an organizing company to operate the match, according to what was agreed upon in the coordination meeting held on Monday, September 22, 2025, with the presence of a representative from Al-Orouba Club who signed the meeting minutes. Therefore, the Minister of Sports has directed an investigation into what happened, and to submit the results within three days, and to take all necessary actions regarding this matter.”
