تفوق النجمة على ضيفه ضمك بهدفين لهدف، في اللقاء الذي جمع بينهما على استاد مدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية ببريدة، ضمن لقاءات دور الـ32 من كأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين، ليتأهل النجمة لدور الـ16 بجدارة واستحقاق.
أحرز هدفَي النجمة لازارو فينيسوس (د:58) وعبدالعزيز الحرابي (د:90+3)، فيما جاء هدف ضمك عن طريق هزاع الغامدي (د:79).
شهد اللقاء سيطرة متبادلة من الفريقين وبعد ركلة زاوية وصلت الكرة لمدافع النجمة المتقدم خالد الشمري ليلعبها برأسه تجاه المرمى وينبرى لها البرازيلي لازارو فينيسوس قبل الحارس كيوين سيلفا ويسكنها في الشباك هدفاً أول للنجمة (د:58)، وتمكن ضمك من العودة بعد أن تلقى هزاع الغامدي كرة داخل منطقة الجزاء وسددها قوية أرضية في المرمى هدف تعادل لضمك (د:79)، وفي الوقت بدل الضائع تمكن النجمة من التقدم مجدداً عن طريق عبدالعزيز الحرابي بعد أن مرر له عبدالإله الشمري كرة قصيرة على حدود منطقة الجزاء ليسددها الحرابي مباشرةً في الزاوية العليا على يسار الحارس سيلفا هدفاً ثانياً للنجمة (د:90+3)، لينتهي اللقاء بفوز النجمة بهدفين لهدف.
وبهذه النتيجة يتأهل النجمة لدور الـ16، فيما غادر ضمك منافسات المسابقة.

The star team triumphed over its guest, Damak, with a score of two to one in the match held at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Buraidah, as part of the Round of 32 of the King Abdulaziz Cup, allowing the star team to advance to the Round of 16 with merit and deserving.
The goals for the star team were scored by Lazaro Vinicius (58') and Abdulaziz Al-Harabi (90+3'), while Damak's goal came from Haza'a Al-Ghamdi (79').

In stoppage time, the star team managed to take the lead again through Abdulaziz Al-Harabi after Abdulilah Al-Shammari passed him a short ball on the edge of the penalty area, allowing Al-Harabi to shoot directly into the upper corner to the left of goalkeeper Silva for the second goal for the star team (90+3'), ending the match with a victory for the star team by two goals to one.
