بعد إنهاء مشاركته في باها شاريش والتي اعتبرها محطة تأهيلية لاختبار جاهزيته بعد الإصابة، يستعد البطل السعودي العالمي يزيد الراجحي للعودة إلى الراليات الطويلة خلال مشاركته في رالي رايد البرتغال «بي بي التيميت»، الجولة الثالثة من بطولة العالم للراليات «W2RC» المقررة إقامتها خلال الفترة من 22 إلى 28 سبتمبر.
وتأتي هذه المشاركة ضمن خطة الراجحي للعودة التدريجية إلى المنافسات العالمية، بعد الحادثة التي تعرض له رفقة ملاحه الألماني تيمو غوتشالك في باها الأردن شهر أبريل الماضي، والذي أجبرهما على التوقف عن السباقات نحو 5 أشهر. وبعد أن نجح الثنائي في استعادة الانسجام والجاهزية خلال الرالي القصير في البرتغال، يمثل رالي البرتغال الطويل التحدي الحقيقي الأول لهما على مسافة طويلة منذ العودة.
الحدث سيقام على مسافة إجمالية تبلغ 2160 كلم، منها 1405 كلم مراحل خاصة خاضعة للتوقيت، موزعة على 5 مراحل رئيسية، إضافة إلى المرحلة الاستعراضية. وينطلق الرالي من غرانديولا، مقر الرالي، مرورا بمناطق متعددة في البرتغال وإسبانيا مثل ألينتيجو، ريباطيجو، وإكستريمادورا الإسبانية، قبل أن يُختتم الحدث في العاصمة لشبونة.
ويُعتبر رالي رايد البرتغال «بي بي التيميت» المحطة الأولى في أجندة بطولة العالم للراليات الطويلة «W2RC» لهذا الموسم، ويمثل كذلك الجولة الأوروبية الوحيدة في روزنامة البطولة، ما يمنحه طابعا خاصا واختبارا مختلفا للسائقين. وتتميز مساراته بالطرق الضيقة والتقنية والحصوية، على عكس التضاريس الصحراوية المفتوحة التي تشتهر بها راليات مثل داكار وأبوظبي والمغرب.
وأكد الراجحي جاهزيته قائلا: «كانت مشاركتي في باها شاريش بمثابة خطوة تأهيلية مهمة بعد فترة الغياب، أما الآن فأنا وملاحي تيمو نشعر بأننا أكثر استعدادا لخوض تجربة طويلة مثل رالي البرتغال. هذه المشاركة جزء من العودة التدريجية، وهدفي أن أكون بكامل الجاهزية قبل داكار 2026».
كما وجّه البطل السعودي يزيد الراجحي شكره الخاص إلى الشريك الرسمي «جميل لرياضة المحركات» على دعمهم ورعايتهم المتواصلين لمسيرته في عالم الراليات، معتبرا هذا الدعم ركيزة أساسية في حضوره القوي على المستويات العالمية والإقليمية والمحلية.
وبمشاركته في البرتغال، يواصل العالمي يزيد الراجحي برنامجه التصاعدي نحو العودة الكاملة، إذ يتضمن أيضا رالي المغرب في أكتوبر القادم، إضافة إلى جولتي باها القصيم وباها جدة في المملكة العربية السعودية، ضمن خطة متكاملة للدفاع عن لقبه التاريخي في رالي داكار 2026.

After completing his participation in Baja Sharish, which he considered a qualifying stage to test his readiness after the injury, the Saudi champion Yazeed Al Rajhi is preparing to return to long rallies during his participation in the Portugal Raid Rally "BB Ultimate," the third round of the World Rally Championship "W2RC," scheduled to take place from September 22 to 28.
This participation is part of Al Rajhi's plan for a gradual return to global competitions, following the incident he experienced alongside his German co-driver Timo Gottschalk in Baja Jordan last April, which forced them to stop racing for about 5 months. After the duo successfully regained their harmony and readiness during the short rally in Portugal, the long Portugal Rally represents their first real challenge over a long distance since their return.
The event will take place over a total distance of 2160 km, including 1405 km of timed special stages, distributed over 5 main stages, in addition to the prologue stage. The rally will start from Grandola, the rally's headquarters, passing through various regions in Portugal and Spain such as Alentejo, Ribatejo, and Extremadura in Spain, before concluding the event in the capital, Lisbon.
The Portugal Raid Rally "BB Ultimate" is considered the first stop in the agenda of the World Long Rally Championship "W2RC" for this season, and it also represents the only European round in the championship calendar, giving it a special character and a different test for the drivers. Its routes are characterized by narrow, technical, and gravel roads, unlike the open desert terrains that are famous for rallies like Dakar, Abu Dhabi, and Morocco.
Al Rajhi confirmed his readiness, saying: "My participation in Baja Sharish was an important qualifying step after the absence period. Now, my co-driver Timo and I feel that we are more prepared to take on a long experience like the Portugal Rally. This participation is part of the gradual return, and my goal is to be fully ready before Dakar 2026."
Additionally, the Saudi champion Yazeed Al Rajhi expressed his special thanks to the official partner "Jameel for Motorsports" for their continuous support and sponsorship of his journey in the world of rallies, considering this support a fundamental pillar of his strong presence at the global, regional, and local levels.
