A well-informed source revealed to "Okaz" that the CEO of Al-Nassr Club, Majed Al-Jam'an, is still in his administrative position, denying the accuracy of the circulating news regarding the termination of his contract or his departure from the club. He confirmed that he continues to work alongside the Spanish sports director, Fernando Herrera, on preparations for the upcoming sports season, including the file of foreign and local players.
The source clarified that the upcoming general assembly of Al-Nassr Club's company may result in the appointment of Abdulaziz Al-Anqari as a member of the board of directors of the club's profit-making company, as part of a move to expand the base of competencies and enhance institutional performance.
Al-Jam'an is considered one of the administrative talents that combine sports and academic experience, having represented Al-Nassr as a player from 1989 to 1993, before moving to the United States to study public administration at Seattle University, where he earned a master's degree. He also holds advanced qualifications in economics and has held executive positions in several insurance companies, including the position of CEO and head of sales.
In the sports scene, Al-Jam'an previously served as a board member of Al-Nassr Club in 2019, before later moving to work within the senior management team at Newcastle in England after the Public Investment Fund acquired it, where he held the position of CEO and achieved remarkable results in club management according to global professional standards.
Al-Jam'an enjoys wide fan support within the Al-Nassr community, due to his affiliation with the club and his precise knowledge of its history and needs, as he previously wore the Al-Nassr jersey as a player, sometimes donning the number (9) famously associated with the club's legend, Majed Abdullah.
On the sidelines of his sports activities, Al-Jam'an is also one of the prominent golfers in the Kingdom, having qualified for the finals of the South African Championship in 2012 and winning the Saudi Canadian Championship in 2015.
