The first mini football championship for women in the Jazan region kicked off yesterday (Monday), with the participation of 150 girls representing 8 teams from the provinces of Al-Tawal, Samta, Abu Arish, Sabya, Bisha, and the city of Jazan, at the Al-Razi Secondary School stadium in Jazan. The championship will take place over seven days in a knockout format, amidst a remarkable audience presence.

Dr. Abdullah Hamdi, the head of the mini football committee in Jazan, explained that this championship aims to enhance community awareness of the importance of mini football for women and to promote it widely.

For his part, the vice president of the committee and head of the competitions committee, Abdu Dhafri, stated that the championship has received close attention from the committee, and a women's committee consisting of 11 members was formed to oversee the organization. Additionally, a refereeing workshop was held, presented by the Secretary-General of the association and the appointed head of the referees committee, Mohammed Al-Fifi, with the participation of 10 female referees managing the championship matches to improve the refereeing aspect.
