غادر الحارس الأرجنتيني إيميليانو مارتينيز، لاعب تشيلسي، ملعب مواجهة فريقه أمام إيفرتون، السبت، محمولًا على نقالة، بعد تعرضه لإصابة إثر اصطدام خلال خروجه لإبعاد كرة ثابتة، ضمن منافسات الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.
ووقعت الحادثة خلال الشوط الثاني، عندما خرج مارتينيز بقبضته لإبعاد كرة داخل منطقة الجزاء، قبل أن يصطدم بمدافع إيفرتون جاراد برانثويت، ليسقط اللاعبان أرضًا، وسط مطالبات بالتدخل الطبي العاجل.
واستدعى الموقف توقف المباراة لعدة دقائق، خضع خلالها الحارس الأرجنتيني لفحوصات وإسعافات ميدانية، قبل تثبيت رقبته بواقٍ طبي ونقله على نقالة خارج الملعب. وأظهرت لقطات البث التلفزيوني أنه كان واعيًا أثناء مغادرته، وقادرًا على تحريك أطرافه، فيما خضع برانثويت لفحص وفق بروتوكول التعامل مع حالات الاشتباه بارتجاج الدماغ، قبل مواصلة اللعب.
واضطر تشيلسي إلى استبدال مارتينيز بالحارس البديل مايك بيندرز في الدقيقة 75، وفقًا لتقرير صحيفة «ليكيب» الفرنسية، فيما لم تتضح على الفور طبيعة إصابة الحارس الأرجنتيني ومدى خطورتها.
وجاءت الإصابة في وقت كان فيه تشيلسي متقدمًا على إيفرتون بهدف، ورغم استبدال مارتينيز بزميله الحارس البديل بيندرز إﻻ إن تشيلسي تمكن من إنهاء اللقاء لمصلحته بهدفين دون مقابل سجلها النجم بيدرو نيتو.
وبهذه النتيجة، يحقق تشيلسي فوزه الرابع ويصل للنقطة الـ13 وفي المركز الرابع، فيما تلقى إيفرتون الخسارة الأولى له وتجمد رصيده عند 10 وفي المركز السادس.

The incident occurred during the second half when Martinez came out with his fist to clear a ball inside the penalty area, before colliding with Everton defender Jarrod Branthwaite, causing both players to fall to the ground, amid calls for urgent medical intervention.
The situation necessitated a stoppage of the match for several minutes, during which the Argentine goalkeeper underwent examinations and field treatment, before his neck was stabilized with a medical brace and he was transported on a stretcher off the field. Broadcast footage showed that he was conscious while leaving and able to move his limbs, while Branthwaite underwent a check according to the protocol for suspected concussion cases before continuing to play.
Chelsea was forced to substitute Martinez with backup goalkeeper Mike Benders in the 75th minute, according to a report by the French newspaper "L'Équipe," while the nature and severity of the Argentine goalkeeper's injury were not immediately clear.
The injury came at a time when Chelsea was leading Everton by one goal, and despite substituting Martinez for his teammate, backup goalkeeper Benders, Chelsea managed to finish the match in their favor with a score of two goals to none, scored by star Pedro Neto.
With this result, Chelsea achieves its fourth victory, reaching 13 points and sitting in fourth place, while Everton suffered its first loss, remaining at 10 points in sixth place.
