وافتتح جون ماكغين التسجيل لأستون فيلا في الدقيقة (11)، قبل أن يدرك هوغو فيتلسن التعادل لكلوب بروج في الدقيقة (19)، وأضاف إيميليانو بوينديا ونيكولاس جاكسون الهدفين الثاني والثالث للفريق الإنجليزي في الدقيقتين (22) و(43)، فيما قلص نيكولو تريسولدي الفارق لأصحاب الأرض من ركلة جزاء في الدقيقة (61).
Aston Villa of England defeated their hosts Club Brugge of Belgium with a score of (3-2) yesterday at the "Jan Breydel" stadium in the city of Bruges, Belgium, as part of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
John McGinn opened the scoring for Aston Villa in the (11th) minute, before Hugo Vetlesen equalized for Club Brugge in the (19th) minute. Emiliano Buendía and Nicolás Jackson added the second and third goals for the English team in the (22nd) and (43rd) minutes, while Nicolo Tresoldi reduced the deficit for the hosts from a penalty in the (61st) minute.
