The head of the Yemeni Coast Guard, Major General Khaled Al-Qamli, confirmed that the terrorist Houthi militia targeted the Coast Guard camp in Khawr Maksar in the temporary capital, Aden, causing significant damage to the infrastructure.
Al-Qamli stated in a special interview with "Okaz" that the camp houses a large force; however, preparedness for such attacks helped mitigate their effects, noting that the injury was limited to one individual, while several buildings and some containers were affected.
Cutting the Smuggling Lifeline
Al-Qamli explained that the targeting of the Coast Guard came after cutting the smuggling lifeline in cooperation with the coalition and other state agencies, surrounding Houthi boats and ships and preventing them from moving to carry out smuggling operations.
He added: "We have hurt them," emphasizing that the targeting of the Coast Guard is part of the broader assault on the Yemeni state system, which has today become a model of unity.
Major General Al-Qamli stressed the importance of continuing to confront the Houthi militia and breaking its power, as well as preventing all smuggling operations that fuel its war efforts.
