كشف مدرب النصر الأسترالي أنج بوستيكوغلو أن وجود البرتغالي كريستيانو رونالدو داخل المشروع النصراوي كان أحد العوامل التي شجعته على قبول مهمة تدريب الفريق، مؤكدًا أن قائد النصر ما زال يتمتع بدرجة عالية من الحافز والتركيز رغم مسيرته الطويلة في الملاعب.
وقال بوستيكوغلو، في حديث نقلته صحيفة A BOLA البرتغالية اليوم (الخميس) 3 سبتمبر 2026، إن فرصة العمل مع أحد أبرز لاعبي كرة القدم في التاريخ كانت جزءًا من جاذبية التجربة بالنسبة إليه، مشيرًا إلى أنه ينظر إلى تدريب رونالدو بوصفه فرصة ليكون جزءًا من مرحلة مهمة في مسيرة النجم البرتغالي.
وأوضح المدرب الأسترالي أن تجربته مع النجوم الكبار علمته أن هؤلاء اللاعبين يتميزون عادة بمستويات مرتفعة من الالتزام والدافع والتركيز، معتبرًا أن التعامل معهم قد يكون أسهل من التعامل مع لاعبين يعتقدون أنهم بلغوا منزلة النجومية دون أن يملكوا العقلية نفسها.
وأبدى بوستيكوغلو إعجابه بعقلية رونالدو داخل النصر، مؤكدًا أن البرتغالي «لا يزال متحفزًا جدًا»، وأنه يملك أهدافًا شخصية واضحة، يأتي في مقدمتها الاقتراب من حاجز 1000 هدف في مسيرته الاحترافية.
وأشارت الصحيفة البرتغالية إلى أن النصر يضم مجموعة من الأسماء العالمية، من بينها ساديو ماني وكينغسلي كومان وجواو فيليكس، إلا أن رونالدو ما زال يمثل الواجهة الأبرز للمشروع الرياضي للنادي.

The Australian coach explained that his experience with top stars has taught him that these players usually possess high levels of commitment, drive, and focus, considering that dealing with them can be easier than dealing with players who believe they have reached stardom without having the same mentality.
Postecoglou expressed his admiration for Ronaldo's mentality at Al-Nassr, confirming that the Portuguese "is still very motivated," and that he has clear personal goals, the foremost of which is to approach the milestone of 1000 goals in his professional career.
