أعلن مدافع منتخب الجزائر عيسى ماندي اعتزاله اللعب دولياً عقب مشاركته مع (الخضر) في بطولة كأس العالم 2026، التي أُقيمت في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وكندا والمكسيك.
ونشر ماندي، البالغ من العمر 34 عاماً، مقطع فيديو عبر حساباته على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، استعرض فيه أبرز لحظاته بقميص المنتخب الجزائري، معلناً إسدال الستار على مسيرته الدولية بعد 12 عاماً مثّل خلالها منتخب بلاده.
ويُعد عيسى ماندي صاحب الرقم القياسي في عدد المباريات الدولية مع منتخب الجزائر، برصيد 123 مباراة، كما ساهم لاعب ليفانتي الحالي في تتويج منتخب بلاده بلقب كأس الأمم الأفريقية 2019.
ويأتي اعتزال ماندي بعد أيام قليلة من الخطوة المماثلة التي أقدم عليها نجم الأهلي السابق رياض محرز، الذي أعلن اعتزاله اللعب دولياً عقب خروج الجزائر من دور الـ32 في كأس العالم الأخيرة، بعد الهزيمة أمام سويسرا بنتيجة 2-0.
Algerian national team defender Aissa Mandi announced his retirement from international play following his participation with the (Greens) in the 2026 World Cup, which was held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Mandi, who is 34 years old, shared a video on his social media accounts showcasing his most memorable moments in the Algerian national team jersey, announcing the end of his international career after 12 years representing his country.
Aissa Mandi holds the record for the most international matches with the Algerian national team, with a total of 123 matches. The current Levante player also contributed to his country's victory in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Mandi's retirement comes just a few days after a similar step taken by former Al Ahly star Riyad Mahrez, who announced his retirement from international play following Algeria's exit in the Round of 32 in the last World Cup, after losing to Switzerland 2-0.
