أعلن رئيس نادي القادسية السابق بدر سليمان الرزيزاء، عبر حسابه الشخصي في منصة (X) ترشحه رسميًا لمنصب رئيس مجلس إدارة الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم، وذلك بعد أيام من إعلانه الاستقالة من رئاسة نادي القادسية.
وقال الرزيزاء في بيان نشره عبر منصة X إن الرياضة السعودية تشهد مرحلة نمو غير مسبوقة بفضل الدعم الكبير من خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، ومتابعة واهتمام من ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، مؤكدًا أن مواصلة هذا التطور تتطلب عملًا مؤسسيًا ورؤية تواكب حجم المرحلة.
وأوضح أن قراره جاء بعد تجربة عملية داخل المنظومة الرياضية والاحتكاك المباشر بتحدياتها وفرصها، وبعد مراجعة المعايير والشروط المنظمة للعملية الانتخابية، مؤكدًا أن ترشحه يأتي بهدف خدمة كرة القدم السعودية، والإسهام في مواصلة تطويرها بما ينسجم مع طموحات الوطن، ويتوافق مع الاستحقاقات والأحداث الرياضية المستقبلية.
ويأتي إعلان الرزيزاء ضمن الحراك المتواصل الذي تشهده انتخابات الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم لاختيار رئيس جديد للاتحاد، خلفًا للمستقيل ياسر المسحل، وسط ترقب في الأوساط الرياضية لنتائج السباق الانتخابي.
The former president of Al-Qadisiyah Club, Badr Suleiman Al-Raziza, announced through his personal account on the (X) platform his official candidacy for the position of President of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Football Federation, just days after announcing his resignation from the presidency of Al-Qadisiyah Club.
Al-Raziza stated in a statement published on the X platform that Saudi sports is witnessing an unprecedented growth phase thanks to the significant support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the follow-up and interest from the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He emphasized that continuing this development requires institutional work and a vision that matches the scale of the phase.
He explained that his decision came after practical experience within the sports system and direct engagement with its challenges and opportunities, and after reviewing the criteria and conditions governing the electoral process. He confirmed that his candidacy aims to serve Saudi football and contribute to its continued development in line with the aspirations of the nation and in accordance with future sports events and requirements.
Al-Raziza's announcement comes as part of the ongoing movement surrounding the elections of the Saudi Football Federation to choose a new president, succeeding the resigned Yasser Al-Mishal, amid anticipation in sports circles for the results of the electoral race.
