أكد المدرب الوطني بندر الجعيثن أن مباراة المنتخب السعودي أمام نظيره السنغالي تمثل اختباراً فنياً قوياً للأخضر قبل انطلاق منافسات كأس العالم 2026، مشيراً إلى أن مواجهة بطل أفريقيا ستمنح الجهاز الفني فرصة للوقوف على جاهزية اللاعبين قبل المباراة الافتتاحية أمام الأوروغواي.
وقال الجعيثن إن المنتخب السنغالي يتميز بالعناصر البدنية والفنية المميزة، إلى جانب أسلوب لعب يعتمد على الرتم العالي والانضباط التكتيكي، ما يجعل اللقاء محطة إعداد رئيسية قبل خوض غمار المونديال.
وطالب الجهاز الفني بالاعتماد على التشكيلة الأقرب لمواجهة الأوروغواي، بهدف اختبار الانسجام وتطبيق الأفكار التكتيكية التي سيعتمد عليها في البطولة، خصوصاً أن المجموعة تضم منافسين يمتلكون إمكانات كبيرة.
