الأهلي ينجو من الهزيمة أمام «زد» في الدوري المصري

Al Ahly drew with their guest Zed with a score of one goal each in the match that took place on Saturday evening at Cairo International Stadium, as part of the 20th round of the Egyptian Premier League.

A strong start from Zed

Zed opened the scoring in the tenth minute, after a ball received by Mustafa Saad "Messi" at the edge of the penalty area, then he advanced and fired a ground shot that found the back of Al Ahly's net.

Cancellation of the second goal

The referee canceled a second goal for Zed scored by Mata Magasa in the 60th minute, after reviewing the video technology, due to an offside call.

Trezeguet saves Al Ahly

Mohamed Hassan "Trezeguet" equalized for Al Ahly in the 89th minute with a shot from inside the penalty area, following a mistake by Zed's goalkeeper Ali Lotfi in clearing the ball.

The crossbar denied a header from Al Ahly's striker Mohamed Sherif in the final seconds of the match, resulting in each team earning a point.

Teams' standings

With this result, Al Ahly raised their tally to 37 points, placing them third in the Egyptian Premier League table, trailing behind the leaders Zamalek and second-placed Pyramids, who both have the same number of points.

In contrast, Zed increased their points to 26, ranking seventh after achieving their eighth draw this season.
