استعاد فريق الخليج نغمة الانتصارات بفوز قوي على ضيفه الرياض بنتيجة 4/1 في اللقاء الذي جمعهما على ملعب الأمير محمد بن فهد بالدمام ضمن لقاءات الجولة الخامسة لدوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين.
وأحرز أهداف الخليج الأربعة كل من: جوشوا كينج 3 أهداف (هاتريك 7، 25، 56)، يورغوس مسوراس (د: 66)، فيما جاء هدف الرياض عن طريق مامادو سيلا (د: 45+1)، وهذه هي المرة الثانية التي يفوز فيها الخليج بالنتيجة نفسها بعد تفوقه على مضيفه الشباب في الجولة الأولى.
شهد اللقاء سيطرة مبكرة لصاحب الأرض والجمهور، وتمكن هدافه جوشوا كينج من إحراز هدف مبكر بعد مجهود رائع من باولو فيرنانديز الذي انطلق من الجهة اليمنى ولعب كرة عرضية أرضية لجوشوا الذي سيطر على الكرة وسددها قوية على يمين الحارس ميلان بوريان (د: 7)، وكاد الرياض أن يعود للقاء بعد تسديدة أرضية قوية من خارج منطقة الجزاء عن طريق تيدي أوكو ولكن حارس الخليج انتوني موريس أبعدها بصعوبة لركلة زاوية، ليعود جوشوا ويهز شباك الرياض مجدداً بعد ركلة زاوية تصل لمدافع الخليج بارت شينكيفيلد ويحولها برأسه عرضية، لينبري لها جوشوا ويلعبها برأسه داخل الشباك كهدف شخصي ثانٍ له ولفريقه (د: 25)، وقبل نهاية الشوط الأول تمكن الرياض من تقليص النتيجة عن طريق مامادو سيلا (د: 45+1)، وفي الشوط الثاني بصم مهاجم الخليج جوشوا كينج على الهاتريك بإحرازه الهدف الشخصي الثالث له ولفريقه (د: 56)، وبعد 10 دقائق سجل زميله يورغوس ماسوراس الهدف الرابع للخليج (د: 66)، لينتهي اللقاء بفوز الخليج بنتيجة 4/1.
وبهذه النتيجة، يحقق الخليج فوزه الثالث ويصل للنقطة التاسعة في المركز السادس، وفي الجولة القادمة سيلاقي مضيفه نيوم، فيما تلقى الرياض الخسارة الرابعة وتجمد رصيده عند 3 نقاط، وسيواجه ضيفه الخلود في الجولة القادمة.

The Al-Khaleej team regained their winning rhythm with a strong victory over their guest, Al-Riyadh, with a score of 4-1 in the match held at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam as part of the fifth round of the Roshan Saudi Professional League.

This is the second time Al-Khaleej has won by the same score after their victory over their host, Al-Shabab, in the first round.
The match witnessed early dominance from the home team, and their top scorer, Joshua King, managed to score an early goal after a brilliant effort from Paulo Fernandes, who sprinted down the right side and delivered a low cross to Joshua, who controlled the ball and struck it powerfully to the right of goalkeeper Milan Borjan (7').
