تعثر فريق الاتحاد للمرة الثانية على التوالي بعد تعادله مع مضيفه الفيحاء بهدف لكل منهما، في اللقاء الذي جمع بينهما على استاد مدينة المجمعة الرياضية، في افتتاح لقاءات الجولة الخامسة لدوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين.
وتقدم الفيحاء أولاً عن طريق فاشون ساكالا (د: 45+1)، قبل أن يعادل للاتحاد البديل أحمد الغامدي (د: 64)، وأضاع قائد الاتحاد كريم بنزيما ركلة جزاء.
شهد اللقاء بداية قوية من الاتحاد وسدد كريم بنزيما كرة داخل منطقة الجزاء تصدى لها الحارس أورلاندو موسكيرا، ورد الفيحاء بهجمة مرتدة لكن المدافع سعد آل موسى تمكن من إبعادها لركلة زاوية، وكاد مهاجم الفيحاء سيلفر جانفولا أن يحرز هدفاً جميلاً بعد لعبة مقصية ولكنها اعتلت العارضة، وفي الوقت بدل الضائع من الشوط الأول تمكن فاشون ساكالا من إحراز الهدف الأول للفيحاء بعد هجمة مرتدة انطلق بها ساكالا وتجاوز المدافع سعد آل موسى وسددها قوية في الزاوية البعيدة على يسار الحارس رايكوفيتش (د: 45+1).
وفي الشوط الثاني، نشط أداء الاتحاد قليلاً فيما تراجع الفيحاء للحفاظ على النتيجة وبعد نزوله بـ 30 ثانية فقط تمكن البديل أحمد الغامدي من إحراز هدف التعادل للاتحاد مستغلاً عرضية زميله موسى ديابي ليحولها الغامدي برأسه داخل الشباك (د: 64)، وكاد الفيحاء أن يتقدم مجدداً بعد تسديدة أرضية قوية من لاعبه ياسين بنزيه ولكن رايكوفيتش تمكن من الإمساك بها، وعاد بنزيه ليتسبب بركلة جزاء ضد فريقه بعد عرقلته لكريم بنزيما الذي تقدم لها بنفسه ولكن الحارس موسكيرا تألق وتصدى للركلة الجزاء، ليستمر التعادل بين الفريقين إلى أن أعلن الحكم ماجد الشمراني عن نهاية اللقاء بالتعادل بهدف لكل منهما.
وبهذه النتيجة يحقق الاتحاد تعادله الأول ويصل للنقطة الـ 10، فيما حقق الفيحاء تعادله الثاني ووصل للنقطة الثامنة، وفي الجولة القادمة سيلاقي الاتحاد ضيفه الهلال في كلاسيكو مرتقب، فيما يواجه الفيحاء ضيفه التعاون.

The Al-Ittihad team stumbled for the second consecutive time after drawing with their host Al-Fayha, with each team scoring one goal, in the match held at the Majmaah Sports City Stadium, in the opening of the fifth round of the Roshn Saudi Professional League.
Al-Fayha took the lead first through Fashion Sakala (D: 45+1), before Al-Ittihad equalized with a goal from substitute Ahmed Al-Ghamdi (D: 64), and Al-Ittihad's captain Karim Benzema missed a penalty.
The match witnessed a strong start from Al-Ittihad, with Karim Benzema shooting a ball inside the penalty area that was saved by goalkeeper Orlando Mosquera. Al-Fayha responded with a counterattack, but defender Saad Al-Mousa managed to clear it for a corner kick. Al-Fayha's striker Silver Janfola nearly scored a beautiful goal with a bicycle kick, but it went over the crossbar. In stoppage time of the first half, Fashion Sakala managed to score the first goal for Al-Fayha after a counterattack where Sakala sprinted past defender Saad Al-Mousa and shot powerfully into the far corner to the left of goalkeeper Rajkovic (D: 45+1).
In the second half, Al-Ittihad's performance improved slightly while Al-Fayha retreated to maintain the score. Just 30 seconds after coming on, substitute Ahmed Al-Ghamdi scored the equalizer for Al-Ittihad, taking advantage of a cross from his teammate Moussa Diaby, which Al-Ghamdi headed into the net (D: 64). Al-Fayha almost took the lead again with a powerful ground shot from their player Yassine Benzeh, but Rajkovic managed to catch it. Benzeh then caused a penalty against his team after fouling Karim Benzema, who took the penalty himself, but goalkeeper Mosquera excelled and saved the penalty, keeping the score level until referee Majid Al-Shamrani announced the end of the match with a draw of one goal for each team.
