قرّر البطل الأولمبي المصري، محمد إبراهيم «كيشو»، تمثيل الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في رياضة المصارعة الرومانية.
وكان المصارع المصري قد أعلن اعتزاله عقب أولمبياد باريس 2024، لكنه تراجع عن قراره من أجل تمثيل أمريكا في أولمبياد لوس أنجلوس 2028.

ونشر كيشو، الحاصل على الميدالية البرونزية في أولمبياد طوكيو 2020، صوراً له عبر صفحته الرسمية على موقع «فيسبوك» أثناء تدريباته في الولايات المتحدة، وعلّق عليها بالقول: «الخطوة الأولى»، مرفقاً صورة للعلم الأمريكي.
وفي تعليق من أحد المتابعين جاء فيه:«ما تنساش وانت بتلعب باسم أمريكا، إن مصر هي اللي علمتك اللعبة وخلتك تتشهر بعد البرونزية»، ليرد كيشو قائلاً: «أكيد طبعاً، دي بلدي اللي كبرت فيها، ومش ممكن أنساها».
وبرر كيشو قراره بالاقتراب من التجنيس، وأنه شعر بالتجاهل من قِبل الاتحاد المصري للمصارعة عقب مشاركته في أولمبياد باريس 2024، وقال إن طلبه البسيط بتوفير غرفة له في المركز الأولمبي قوبل بالإهمال.
The Egyptian Olympic champion, Mohamed Ibrahim "Keesho," has decided to represent the United States of America in the sport of Greco-Roman wrestling.
The Egyptian wrestler had announced his retirement following the Paris 2024 Olympics, but he reversed his decision in order to represent America at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.

Keesho, who won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, posted pictures of himself on his official Facebook page during his training in the United States, commenting: "The first step," along with a picture of the American flag.
In a comment from one of the followers, it was stated: "Don't forget while you are playing under the name of America, that Egypt is the one that taught you the sport and made you famous after the bronze," to which Keesho replied: "Of course, this is my country where I grew up, and I can never forget it."
Keesho justified his decision by mentioning his proximity to naturalization and that he felt ignored by the Egyptian Wrestling Federation following his participation in the Paris 2024 Olympics. He said that his simple request for a room at the Olympic center was met with neglect.
