أُقيل أب ونجله من منصبيهما كمدربين بفارق ساعات قليلة بعد تعرّض فريقيهما لهزيمتين قاسيتين في الدوري اليوناني لكرة القدم. وكان الأحد يوماً صعباً على عائلة بيتراكيس، اذ كان الابن يورغوس (37 عاماً)، أول من أقيل من منصبه بعد تعرّض فريقه لاريسا، بطل اليونان السابق، لهزيمة مفاجئة على أرضه بنتيجة 2-5 أمام غريمه المحلي فولوس.
ثم استغنى نادي بانيتوليكوس بعد ساعات عن والده يانيس (66 عاماً) عقب تعرّضه لهزيمة قاسية خارج أرضه أمام ليفادياكوس 0-6،
وهي الخسارة الأكبر في دوري الدرجة الأولى في تاريخ بانيتوليكوس الذي تأسس قبل 99 عاماً.
ويحتل لاريسا، بطل الدوري عام 1988، المركز الـ12 في الدوري المكوّن من 14 فريقاً، برصيد 4 نقاط من 4 تعادلات مقابل هزيمتين، متساوياً مع بانيتوليكوس صاحب المركز الـ13 (فوز وتعادل وأربع هزائم) بعد 6 جولات.

A father and his son were dismissed from their coaching positions just hours apart after their teams suffered two heavy defeats in the Greek football league. Sunday was a tough day for the Petrakis family, as the son, Giorgos (37 years old), was the first to be fired after his team, Larissa, the former champion of Greece, suffered a surprising home defeat with a score of 2-5 against their local rival Volos.
Then, just hours later, Panetolikos dismissed his father, Yannis (66 years old), following a heavy away defeat against Levadiakos 0-6,
which is the largest loss in the history of Panetolikos, a club founded 99 years ago.
