نفى لاعب نادي برشلونة الإسباني السابق الظهير الأيسر الفرنسي المُعتزل إريك أبيدال، شائعة وفاته.
وانتشرت شائعة على موقع التواصل الاجتماعي «إكس » تفيد بوفاة نجم برشلونة السابق- البالغ من العمر 46 عاماً- بعد صراع مع مرض السرطان.
وردّ أبيدال سريعاً عبر حسابه على «إنستغرام» قائلاً: «بعض الشائعات لا ينبغي أن تكون موجودة، أنا هنا مع عائلتي وبخير، الاحترام هو الأساس».
وأضاف:« أنا حي وبصحة جيدة، شكراً لدعمكم، دعونا نركز على ما هو مهم فعلاً».
وكان النجم الفرنسي السابق واجه مرض السرطان في الماضي، لكنه تغلب عليه في عام 2011، وتمكن بعد ذلك من مواصلة مسيرته الاحترافية في كرة القدم.
Former FC Barcelona left-back Eric Abidal, who is now retired, denied the rumor of his death.
A rumor spread on the social media platform "X" claiming that the former Barcelona star—who is 46 years old—had died after a battle with cancer.
Abidal quickly responded via his Instagram account, saying: "Some rumors should not exist, I am here with my family and doing well, respect is fundamental."
He added: "I am alive and in good health, thank you for your support, let's focus on what really matters."
The former French star had faced cancer in the past, but he overcame it in 2011 and was able to continue his professional football career thereafter.
