أعلن نادي نوتنغهام فورست الإنجليزي، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، تعاقده مع المدرب الأسترالي أنجي بوستيكوغلو لقيادة الفريق خلفاً للبرتغالي نونو سانتو.
وأوضح نوتنغهام في بيان عبر موقعه الإلكتروني، أن أنجي بوستيكوغلو تولى القيادة الفنية للفريق الأول لكرة القدم بالنادي، دون الكشف عن مدة التعاقد.
من جانبه قال إيفانجيلوس ماريناكيس، مالك النادي، عن تعيين بوستيكوغلو: «نجلب مدرباً إلى النادي يتمتع بسجل حافل بالنجاحات والألقاب، خبرته في تدريب فرق على أعلى مستوى، ورغبته في بناء فريق مميز معنا في فورست، تجعله شخصاً رائعاً لمساعدتنا في رحلتنا وتحقيق جميع طموحاتنا باستمرار».
وكان بوستيكوغلو أُقيل من تدريب توتنهام هوتسبير في شهر يونيو الماضي، رغم قيادة السبيرز لتحقيق لقب الدوري الأوروبي.
ويحتل نوتنغهام فورست حالياً المركز العاشر في جدول ترتيب الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، برصيد 4 نقاط من فوز وتعادل وخسارة.
The English club Nottingham Forest announced today (Tuesday) that it has signed Australian coach Ange Postecoglou to lead the team, replacing Portuguese Nuno Santo.
Nottingham clarified in a statement on its website that Ange Postecoglou has taken over as the head coach of the club's first football team, without disclosing the duration of the contract.
For his part, Evangelos Marinakis, the club's owner, said about the appointment of Postecoglou: "We are bringing a coach to the club who has a proven track record of success and titles, his experience in coaching teams at the highest level, and his desire to build a distinguished team with us at Forest makes him a great person to help us in our journey and achieve all our ambitions continuously."
Postecoglou was dismissed from his position as coach of Tottenham Hotspur last June, despite leading the Spurs to win the UEFA Europa League title.
Nottingham Forest currently occupies the tenth position in the Premier League table, with 4 points from one win, one draw, and one loss.
