تفوّق منتخب الصين على نظيره منتخب نيوزيلندا بنتيجة 98/ 84 في نصف نهائي كأس آسيا 2025 في اللقاء الذي جمعهما اليوم السبت على أرض مدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية، ليتأهل الصين إلى نهائي البطولة.
وساهم النجم المخضرم زهاو روي لاعب منتخب الصين في تأهل منتخب بلاده بعد أن قدم عرضاً استثنائيّاً بتسجيله 24 نقطة، منها خمس ثلاثيات، ليعيد منتخب بلاده إلى النهائي الأول منذ 10 سنوات.
وفرض المنتخب الصيني سيطرته مبكراً بالفوز في الربع الأول 28/ 19، ورغم عودة نيوزلندا القوية من تأخر بلغ 11 نقطة في الربع الثاني إلا إن المنتخب الصيني تمكن من إنهاء الشوط الأول متقدماً بنتيجة 42/ 40، وواصل التنين الصيني تفوقه بتسجيله نقطتين على الصافرة لينتهي الربع الثالث بنتيجة 68/ 66، وفي الربع الرابع، أثبت المنتخب الصيني تفوقه ووسّع الفارق مجدداً وأنهى اللقاء بالفوز بنتيجة 98/ 84.
أعاد هذا الانتصار الصين إلى نهائي كأس آسيا لكرة السلة للمرة الأولى منذ تتويجها باللقب في 2015م، أما نيوزيلندا، ففشلت مجددًا في بلوغ المباراة النهائية للمرة الثالثة على التوالي، لكنها لا تزال تملك فرصة إنقاذ حملتها بخطف المركز الثالث.
وقال مدرب نيوزيلندا جَد فلافيل بعد المباراة: «كانت معركة قوية. بقينا في أجواء اللقاء وحصلنا على فرص جيدة. لكن الصين في الربع الرابع كانت شرسة على المتابعات وسددت الكرة بشكل جيد. في النهاية، هم سجلوا الرميات الحاسمة. سنتعلم من ذلك. نملك مجموعة شابة، والآن علينا أن نعود غداً، نتجاوز هذه الخسارة ونُنهي البطولة بقوة».

The Chinese national team defeated their counterpart, the New Zealand team, with a score of 98/84 in the semifinals of the 2025 Asian Cup in a match held today, Saturday, at the King Abdullah Sports City, allowing China to advance to the final of the tournament.
The veteran star Zhao Rui of the Chinese team contributed to his country's qualification by delivering an exceptional performance, scoring 24 points, including five three-pointers, bringing his team back to the final for the first time in 10 years.
The Chinese team established its dominance early by winning the first quarter 28/19. Despite New Zealand's strong comeback from an 11-point deficit in the second quarter, the Chinese team managed to finish the first half ahead with a score of 42/40. The Chinese dragon continued its superiority by scoring two points at the buzzer, ending the third quarter with a score of 68/66. In the fourth quarter, the Chinese team proved its superiority, widening the gap again and finishing the match with a victory of 98/84.
This victory brought China back to the Asian Basketball Cup final for the first time since they won the title in 2015. As for New Zealand, they failed again to reach the final for the third consecutive time, but they still have a chance to salvage their campaign by snatching third place.
New Zealand coach Judd Flavell said after the match: "It was a tough battle. We stayed in the game and had some good opportunities. But China was fierce on the boards in the fourth quarter and shot the ball well. In the end, they made the crucial shots. We will learn from this. We have a young group, and now we need to come back tomorrow, get over this loss, and finish the tournament strong."
