Ajax Amsterdam defeated their host Excelsior Maassluis with a score of (7-2) in the Round of 32 of the KNVB Cup.
Owen Windal opened the scoring for Ajax with an early goal in the 12th minute, followed by Anton Gaaij who added the second goal in the 19th minute. Don Conadon scored the third goal for the visitors in the 24th minute, and Gorthey Moku managed to add the fourth goal in the 40th minute. The same player extended the lead with a fifth goal at the start of the second half in the 48th minute. Devin Blanks reduced the deficit for the home team with the first goal in the 53rd minute, before Ryan Boonida scored again for Ajax, adding the sixth goal in the 56th minute. Janick Verboom scored Excelsior's second goal in the 60th minute, just 5 minutes before Ajax scored their seventh goal through Raúl Moro.
