فرض الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا) حظرا على نادي ليون الفرنسي من تسجيل لاعبين جدد لثلاث فترات انتقالات حتى نهاية صيف 2026 بسبب دين قدره 2000 يورو.
وفي بيان مقتضب للنادي الفرنسي جاء فيه: «لقد راجعنا بعض الإجراءات الداخلية خلال الأسابيع القليلة الماضية، وكانت هذه المسألة واحدة منها. لقد وضعنا إجراءات جديدة للمستقبل».
وأصبح ليون الذي فشل في حجز بطاقته إلى دوري أبطال أوروبا الموسم القادم مكتفيا ببطاقة الدوري الأوروبي (يوروبا ليج)، واحدا من بين 1175 ناديا مستهدفا بهذه القائمة العامة، «بسبب مخالفات مختلفة، مثل النزاعات المالية أو الانتهاكات التنظيمية».
وكان ليون حرم سابقا من التعاقدات في نوفمبر الماضي من قبل هيئة الرقابة المالية على كرة القدم الفرنسية، وكان مهددا بالهبوط إلى دوري الدرجة الثانية.

The International Football Federation (FIFA) has imposed a ban on French club Lyon from registering new players for three transfer windows until the end of the summer of 2026 due to a debt of 2,000 euros.
In a brief statement from the French club, it was mentioned: "We have reviewed some internal procedures over the past few weeks, and this issue was one of them. We have put new procedures in place for the future."
Lyon, which failed to secure its spot in the Champions League for the upcoming season and is limited to a Europa League ticket, is one of 1,175 clubs targeted by this general list "due to various violations, such as financial disputes or regulatory breaches."
Lyon was previously banned from signings last November by the French financial oversight body for football and was threatened with relegation to the second division.
Lyon, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, also faces the risk of not participating in European competitions from UEFA, also due to its financial problems.
UEFA and the club are discussing reaching a negotiated settlement that includes a fine estimated at several million euros to avoid reaching this conclusion.
