Researchers, academics, journalists, and Yemeni expatriates in the Kingdom have warned about the dangers of the terrorist escalation being carried out by the Houthi militia, confirming to "Okaz" that targeting Saudi Arabia, civilian objects, and Islamic sanctities in Mecca and Medina represents a crossing of all red lines, revealing the destructive nature of the militia's project and its connection to the Iranian agenda. Expatriates emphasized the necessity of taking a firm international stance to end the Houthi threat and support the legitimate government and the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia to restore the Yemeni state and protect the security of the region and international maritime routes.
The Yemeni researcher at the Islamic University in Medina, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Majhasi, stated that what the Houthi terrorist militia has committed for more than ten years in terms of killing and tormenting the Yemeni people, besieging cities, targeting innocents, and disrupting interests, along with threatening maritime navigation in Bab al-Mandab and attacking Saudi Arabia, constitutes war crimes and terrorist acts that threaten the region and the world.
He added that targeting Mecca and Medina reveals, without a doubt, the danger of this militia, affirming that the Yemeni expatriates residing in the Kingdom stand alongside the legitimate government and the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia in efforts to restore the state and end the Houthi coup, and they support Saudi measures to protect the Kingdom's territories, its citizens, residents, and Islamic sanctities.
For his part, Professor at Abha University Dr. Marsh Al-Adaini described the Houthis as "a cancer that has afflicted the body of the Arab and Islamic nation," warning that their destructive practices, starting from seizing state institutions in Sana'a and the resulting tragedies and destabilization, to targeting Saudi Arabia and Islamic sanctities, represent a threat that extends beyond Yemen to regional and international security.
He pointed out that the militia's connection to Iran and its attempts to threaten navigation in Bab al-Mandab and choke trade and energy movement exacerbate the risks of turning Yemen into a battleground, which necessitates a firm response to this threat.
For his part, expatriate and journalist Samir Al-Qabati stated that the Houthi militia has revealed its true face by targeting Islamic sanctities with Iranian missiles, after years of killing Yemenis, destroying their homes, and dragging their children into the furnace of war. He added that targeting civilian objects and vital areas confirms the danger of the militia, calling on Yemenis and the international community to stand firmly alongside Saudi Arabia.
Writer and journalist Ahmed Abdul-Salam Imran confirmed that the Houthi attacks on the Kingdom and attempts to target Mecca and Islamic sanctities represent a serious crime that has crossed all red lines, noting that threatening navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab poses a danger to regional security and global trade.
On his part, Yemeni journalist Awad Al-Awlaki stated that the Houthis have not only entrenched regionalism and sectarianism and set Yemen ablaze, but their threat has extended to the security of the Kingdom and the sanctities of more than one and a half billion Muslims, calling for a strong and firm international stance to end the militia's danger, citing the massacre at Al-Alam camp in Shabwa, which resulted in the death of more than seventy-five soldiers due to the camp being targeted by missiles, praising Saudi Arabia's role, and affirming that the people of Shabwa support the restoration of the state and the building of a federal Yemen.
Meanwhile, Yemeni expatriate in Al-Qunfudhah, Fadl Al-Durami, confirmed that the Houthi attacks on the Kingdom represent a violation of its sovereignty and a threat to the safety of civilians and the stability of the region, emphasizing that protecting the holy lands and their sanctities is a great responsibility that requires a firm stance against these violations.
