أكّد وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، أن المحادثات مع المسؤولين الباكستانيين والعُمانيين الذين زاروا إيران ناقشت الحلول الإقليمية.
وأوضح عراقجي أن هناك إطاراً مقترحاً لممر جديد وإزالة الألغام بالشراكة مع عُمان وإدارة مضيق هرمز، مؤكداً أن التزام بلاده بالسلام والاستقرار متواصل، بالتوازي مع دبلوماسية راسخة ومستمرة مع جيرانها.
بدوره، قال نائب وزير الخارجية الإيراني كاظم غريب آبادي إن عرض مسار العبور المتفق عليه مع عُمان في مضيق هرمز يبلغ 7 أميال، مبيناً أن مسار العبور في مضيق هرمز المتفق عليه مع عُمان مؤقت، وسيتم التفاوض معها بشأن مسار دائم.
وأضاف: «اتفقنا مع عُمان على أن تفعيل المسار المشترك في مضيق هرمز يعني إغلاق المسار الجنوبي»، مبيناً أن بلاده ستجري مفاوضات تمتد من 30 إلى 60 يوماً بشأن الترتيبات المستقبلية لإدارة مضيق هرمز.
من جهة أخرى، قال وزير الخزانة البريطاني جون هيلي، إن بلاده تدعم الجهود الأمريكية للتوصل إلى حل دبلوماسي بشأن إيران، مرحباً بالخطوات الرامية إلى زيادة الضغط عليها، بما في ذلك العقوبات الموسعة التي أُعلنت أخيراً.
ودعا هيلي إيران إلى وقف «أنشطتها المزعزعة للاستقرار» في أنحاء المنطقة، بما في ذلك مضيق هرمز.
The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed today (Tuesday) that discussions with Pakistani and Omani officials who visited Iran addressed regional solutions.
Araghchi explained that there is a proposed framework for a new corridor and mine removal in partnership with Oman and the management of the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that his country's commitment to peace and stability continues, alongside a robust and ongoing diplomacy with its neighbors.
For his part, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharib Abadi stated that the agreed transit route with Oman in the Strait of Hormuz is 7 miles long, indicating that the transit route in the Strait of Hormuz agreed upon with Oman is temporary, and negotiations will be held with them regarding a permanent route.
He added: "We agreed with Oman that activating the joint route in the Strait of Hormuz means closing the southern route," noting that his country will conduct negotiations lasting from 30 to 60 days regarding future arrangements for managing the Strait of Hormuz.
On another note, British Treasury Minister John Healey stated that his country supports American efforts to reach a diplomatic solution regarding Iran, welcoming steps aimed at increasing pressure on it, including the recently announced expanded sanctions.
Healey called on Iran to stop its "destabilizing activities" throughout the region, including in the Strait of Hormuz.
