أكد رئيس الوزراء العراقي علي الزيدي أن بلاده لن تكون محطة لإيذاء الآخرين. وشدّد على أن الحكومة ماضية ببناء العراق مكتمل السيادة الذي تتوفر فيه للشعب كل أسباب الاحترام والأمن والمحافظة على ثرواته ومستقبل أجياله.
وقال الزيدي، اليوم (الإثنين)، خلال رعايته الاحتفالية بمناسبة ذكرى ولادة الرسول الأعظم، إن العراقيين سيعلنون اكتمال سيادتهم على كامل الأرض العراقية في 30 سبتمبر القادم.
وأشار إلى أن المنطقة تعيش في ظل توترات متواصلة تسببت بانقسامات بين الدول، موضحاً أن برنامج حكومته اشتمل على منهج واضح للبناء والإصلاح ومحاربة الفساد وتعزيز بيئة العمل المنتج والحرص على بناء المؤسسات الأمنية التي تعمل تحت سقف الدستور. وجدد الزيدي التزام الحكومة العراقية بمقتضيات السلم الأهلي وتطبيق القانون.
وكان الزيدي كرر أكثر من مرة منذ توليه الحكومة تمسكه بمبادئ مكافحة الفساد والمحاسبة فضلاً عن حصر السلاح بيد الدولة، وعدم الدخول في محاور إقليمية أو دولية.
ولفت إلى أن المهلة النهائية لخروج قوات التحالف الدولي من العراق ستكون 30 سبتمبر القادم، بالتزامن مع متابعة مهمة حصر السلاح من الفصائل المسلحة.
ويقود الزيدي حالياً مفاوضات مع خمسة فصائل مسلحة، هي: حركة النجباء، كتائب سيد الشهداء، كتائب حزب الله العراقي، سرايا أولياء الدم، وأصحاب الكهف؛ لتسليم سلاحها.
وسلّمت ثلاثة من كبرى الفصائل المسلحة في البلاد، هي: سرايا السلام بزعامة مقتدى الصدر، وعصائب أهل الحق، وكتائب الإمام علي بزعامة شبل الزيدي، قبل فترة سلاحها للدولة، وأعلنت الانخراط في العمل المدني.
The Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaydi confirmed that his country will not be a station for harming others. He emphasized that the government is moving forward with building a fully sovereign Iraq, where the people have all the reasons for respect, security, and the preservation of its wealth and the future of its generations.
Al-Zaydi stated today (Monday) during his sponsorship of the celebration marking the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, that the Iraqis will announce the completion of their sovereignty over all Iraqi territory on September 30th.
He pointed out that the region is living under continuous tensions that have caused divisions among countries, explaining that his government's program includes a clear approach to building, reforming, combating corruption, enhancing a productive work environment, and ensuring the establishment of security institutions that operate under the constitution. Al-Zaydi reiterated the Iraqi government's commitment to the requirements of civil peace and the rule of law.
Al-Zaydi has repeatedly stated since taking office his adherence to the principles of combating corruption and accountability, as well as restricting weapons to the hands of the state, and avoiding involvement in regional or international axes.
He noted that the final deadline for the withdrawal of international coalition forces from Iraq will be September 30th, coinciding with the ongoing mission to restrict weapons from armed factions.
Al-Zaydi is currently leading negotiations with five armed factions: Al-Nujaba Movement, Sayyid al-Shuhada Brigades, Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades, Saraya Awliya al-Dam, and Ahl al-Kahf; to hand over their weapons.
Three of the largest armed factions in the country, namely: Saraya al-Salam led by Muqtada al-Sadr, Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq, and the Imam Ali Brigades led by Shibl al-Zaydi, have previously handed over their weapons to the state and announced their engagement in civil work.
