شهد الجنوب اللبناني تصعيداً إسرائيلياً، واستهدفت سلسلة غارات جوية عدة مناطق، وفق ما أفادت الوكالة الرسمية، اليوم (السبت). وأشارت إلى مقتل 7 أشخاص في غارة إسرائيلية على منزل في بلدة أنصار الجنوبية. وطالت الغارات مرتفع علي الطاهر عند أطراف النبطية الفوقا.
وتعرض محيط دار المعلمين والمعلمات ومحيط النادي الحسيني في النبطية الفوقا لغارتين. كما تعرض الوادي بين بلدتي أنصار والزرارية لغارة هي الأولى التي تتعدى هذا العمق الجغرافي منذ وقف إطلاق النار قبل شهرين.
وترافقت الغارات مع قصف بالقذائف الفوسفورية استهدف حرج ومرتفع علي الطاهر. فيما أعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي في بيان لاحقاً أنه «استهدف مواقع لحزب الله رداً على أنشطته في المنطقة الأمنية».
وكان السفير الأمريكي في لبنان ميشال عيسى قال إن جولة قادمة من المفاوضات بين إسرائيل ولبنان ستعقد، إلا أن موعدها لم يحدد بعد. وأضاف أن الحرب «ستتوقف إذا سلم حزب الله سلاحه». جاء التصعيد الإسرائيلي، وسط تقارير عن انزعاج أمريكي من مواقف بعض ساسة إسرائيل وتصريحاتهم بشأن البقاء في الجنوب اللبناني.
ووقعت لبنان وإسرائيل في 26 يونيو الماضي اتفاق إطار بعد جولات تفاوضية برعاية أمريكية، نصّ على وقف الاعتداءات، ونزع سلاح حزب الله والمجموعات الأخرى المسلحة، وانسحاب إسرائيل تدريجياً من الأراضي التي تحتلها في جنوب لبنان، وانتشار الجيش اللبناني بدءاً من مناطق «تجريبية». ورفض حزب الله بشكل مطلق التفاوض المباشر مع إسرائيل والتخلي عن سلاحه، وشن في بعض الأحيان حملات تخوين ووجه انتقادات للسلطات اللبنانية.
بينما واصلت إسرائيل منذ ذلك الحين تفجير مساكن ومنازل في القرى الجنوبية، وفق ما أكدت السلطات اللبنانية، بزعم وجود مواقع عسكرية، رغم استمرار جولات التفاوض بين الجانبين.
The southern Lebanese region has witnessed an Israeli escalation, with a series of airstrikes targeting several areas, according to the official agency today (Saturday). It reported the death of 7 people in an Israeli strike on a house in the southern town of Ansar. The airstrikes also targeted the Ali al-Taher heights on the outskirts of Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa.
The vicinity of the Teachers' House and the area around the Hussaini Club in Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa were hit by two airstrikes. Additionally, the valley between the towns of Ansar and Zarariyah was struck, marking the first such attack that penetrates this geographical depth since the ceasefire two months ago.
The airstrikes were accompanied by phosphorus shelling targeting the forest and the Ali al-Taher heights. Meanwhile, the Israeli army announced in a later statement that it "targeted Hezbollah positions in response to its activities in the security zone."
U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Michel Aoun stated that a forthcoming round of negotiations between Israel and Lebanon will be held, although the date has not yet been set. He added that the war "will stop if Hezbollah hands over its weapons." This Israeli escalation comes amid reports of American discontent with the positions of some Israeli politicians and their statements regarding remaining in southern Lebanon.
Lebanon and Israel signed a framework agreement on June 26 after rounds of negotiations under American sponsorship, which stipulated the cessation of assaults, the disarmament of Hezbollah and other armed groups, and the gradual withdrawal of Israel from the territories it occupies in southern Lebanon, with the deployment of the Lebanese army starting from "experimental" areas. Hezbollah has categorically rejected direct negotiations with Israel and the relinquishment of its weapons, and at times has launched campaigns of treason and directed criticisms at the Lebanese authorities.
Since then, Israel has continued to demolish homes and residences in the southern villages, as confirmed by Lebanese authorities, under the pretext of the presence of military sites, despite the ongoing rounds of negotiations between the two sides.
