اقتحم عشرات الجنود الإسرائيليين، اليوم الأربعاء، مخيم قلنديا وسط الضفة الغربية المحتلة، في عملية عسكرية واسعة رافقتها جرافة عسكرية وتعزيزات إضافية، وسط انتشار مكثف في أحياء المخيم، ومداهمة عشرات المنازل، وطرد عدد من السكان منها، واحتجاز مواطنين، بالتزامن مع توزيع منشورات تهديد للأهالي.
واعتقلت قوات الاحتلال الشاب غسان الخطيب، ودهست آلية عسكرية شاباً في محيط المخيم، دون أن تتضح حالته الصحية، واستمرت حملة المداهمات في أحياء عدة من المخيم، وفق ما نقلت وكالة الأنباء الفلسطينية «وفا».
وكان وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي يسرائيل كاتس، أثار قلقاً كبيراً لدى الفلسطينيين، حين قال في حوار قبل أيام، إنه أوعز للجيش باحتلال مخيم جديد بالضفة الغربية. وبعدها خرجت تسريبات لقادة بالجيش نفوا فيها تلقيهم أوامر فعلية بالتنفيذ إلا أنهم أوضحوا أن خطط اجتياح مخيمات فلسطينية جديدة جاهزة.
واقتحمت القوات الإسرائيلية بلدة كفر عقب شمال القدس، كما داهمت منازل في حي المطار القريب من مخيم قلنديا.
وفي محافظة جنين، داهمت القوات الإسرائيلية منزلاً خلال اقتحام بلدة السيلة الحارثية غرب المدينة، واعتقلت الشاب مصطفى العيد من منزله في بلدة برقين. واعتقلت الشابين عدي أبوحسن وإبراهيم أبوحسن خلال اقتحام قرية عربونة شرق جنين، واعتقلت ثلاثة شبان في بلدة كفردان غرب المدينة، هم محمد عبدالرزاق عابد، وأحمد عابد، وعدنان أحمد عابد.
أما في نابلس، فاعتقلت القوات الإسرائيلية الشاب جعفر مجدي حنني عقب مداهمة منزله في قرية بيت فوريك شرق المدينة، فيما أضرم مستوطنون النار في أشجار الزيتون قرب مدخل بلدة عقربا جنوب شرقي نابلس.
واعتقلت القوات الإسرائيلية شابين في مدينة الخليل وصادرت مركبتهما خلال اقتحام بلدة بيت أمر شمال المدينة، واقتحمت بلدة نحالين غرب بيت لحم برفقة آليات هدم تمهيداً لتنفيذ عمليات هدم.
وفي محافظة رام الله والبيرة، أصيب نحو 20 فلسطينياً بحالات اختناق، بينهم رضيعة وسيدة مسنة، إثر إلقاء القوات الإسرائيلية قنابل الغاز داخل أحد المنازل في قرية برقا شرقي المدينة.
وتشهد الضفة الغربية المحتلة تصاعداً في وتيرة العمليات العسكرية الإسرائيلية منذ اندلاع الحرب بقطاع غزة في أكتوبر 2023، وتنفذ القوات الإسرائيلية اقتحامات وعمليات اعتقال متكررة في مدن ومخيمات الضفة، لا سيما في جنين ونابلس وطولكرم ومناطق شمال القدس. كما تترافق هذه العمليات مع مواجهات وإغلاقات وعمليات هدم ومصادرة، إلى جانب تصاعد اعتداءات المستوطنين في عدد من المناطق.
Dozens of Israeli soldiers stormed the Qalandiya camp in the occupied West Bank today, Wednesday, in a wide-scale military operation accompanied by a military bulldozer and additional reinforcements, amid heavy deployment in the camp's neighborhoods, raiding dozens of homes, expelling several residents, and detaining citizens, coinciding with the distribution of threatening leaflets to the families.
The occupation forces arrested young man Ghassan Al-Khatib, and a military vehicle ran over a young man in the vicinity of the camp, with his health condition remaining unclear. The campaign of raids continued in several neighborhoods of the camp, according to the Palestinian news agency "Wafa."
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz raised significant concern among Palestinians when he stated in an interview a few days ago that he instructed the army to occupy a new camp in the West Bank. Following this, leaks emerged from army leaders denying that they had received actual orders to execute, but they clarified that plans for invading new Palestinian camps are ready.
The Israeli forces also stormed the town of Kafr Aqab north of Jerusalem and raided homes in the airport neighborhood near Qalandiya camp.
In Jenin Governorate, the Israeli forces raided a house during the storming of the town of Silat al-Harithiya west of the city, and arrested young man Mustafa Al-Aid from his home in the town of Burqin. They arrested two young men, Adi Abu Hasan and Ibrahim Abu Hasan, during the storming of the village of Arabouna east of Jenin, and detained three young men in the town of Kafr Dan west of the city: Muhammad Abdul Razzaq Abed, Ahmad Abed, and Adnan Ahmad Abed.
In Nablus, the Israeli forces arrested young man Jaafar Majdi Hennani after raiding his home in the village of Beit Furik east of the city, while settlers set fire to olive trees near the entrance of the town of Aqraba southeast of Nablus.
The Israeli forces arrested two young men in the city of Hebron and confiscated their vehicle during the storming of the town of Beit Ummar north of the city, and stormed the town of Nahalin west of Bethlehem accompanied by demolition vehicles in preparation for carrying out demolition operations.
In Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, around 20 Palestinians, including an infant and an elderly woman, suffered from suffocation due to the Israeli forces throwing tear gas inside one of the houses in the village of Burqa east of the city.
The occupied West Bank has witnessed an escalation in the pace of Israeli military operations since the outbreak of the war in the Gaza Strip in October 2023, with Israeli forces carrying out repeated raids and arrest operations in cities and camps in the West Bank, particularly in Jenin, Nablus, Tulkarm, and areas north of Jerusalem. These operations are accompanied by confrontations, closures, demolition operations, and confiscations, alongside a rise in settler assaults in several areas.
