تفقد رئيس الحكومة اللبنانية نواف سلام بلدة زوطر الغربية في جنوب لبنان، على رأس وفد رسمي رفيع ضم وزير الدفاع ميشال منسّى، ورئيس الأركان اللواء الركن حسان عودة، والأمين العام للمجلس الأعلى للدفاع اللواء الركن محمد المصطفى، إلى جانب مسؤولي المؤسسات الإنمائية والإغاثية.
وتأتي هذه الزيارة أهمية غداة دخول وحدات الجيش اللبناني إلى زوطر الغربية، أمس (الثلاثاء)، التي اختيرت لتكون أولى "المناطق التجريبية" لتطبيق اتفاق الإطار وآلية التنسيق الميداني. حيث يشكل دخول الجيش إليها وتوليه المهام الأمنية والمسوح الهندسية الاختبار الميداني الأول لبدء الانسحاب الإسرائيلي المتدرج وبسط سيادة الدولة.
وقد أكد سلام من زوطر أن انتشار الجيش في هذه المنطقة النمطية يمثل لحظة وطنية وسياسية فارقة تُدشّن بداية المسار العملي للانسحاب الإسرائيلي الكامل. وأوضح أن الحكومة متمسكة بتحرير كافة الأراضي اللبنانية، وستواصل حشد كافة جهودها السياسية والدبلوماسية لتحقيق ذلك.
وشدد رئيس الحكومة على أن الدولة بدأت فورًا بتسخير كافة إمكاناتها لمواكبة عودة الأهالي إلى قراهم بكرامة وأمان، مشيرًا إلى أن القوى العسكرية تضمن حماية العائدين بالتوازي مع فتح الطرقات، إزالة الركام، والعمل السريع على إعادة تأهيل شبكات المياه والكهرباء والاتصالات، فضلاً عن تأمين المساكن الجاهزة كحلول انتقالية.
وختم سلام بالقول إن إعادة الحياة إلى مناطق الجنوب واستعادة الاستقرار فيها يمثلان التزامًا عمليًا من الدولة لتأكيد سيادة لبنان ووحدة أراضيه.
The Lebanese Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, visited the town of Zawtar al-Gharbiyah in southern Lebanon, leading a high-ranking official delegation that included Defense Minister Michel Mounssif, Chief of Staff Major General Hassan Auda, and Secretary General of the Supreme Defense Council Major General Mohammed Mustafa, along with officials from developmental and relief institutions.
This visit comes at a significant time following the entry of Lebanese Army units into Zawtar al-Gharbiyah yesterday (Tuesday), which was chosen to be the first of the "experimental areas" for implementing the framework agreement and the mechanism for field coordination. The army's entry and its assumption of security duties and engineering surveys represent the first field test for the gradual Israeli withdrawal and the establishment of state sovereignty.
Salam confirmed from Zawtar that the army's deployment in this typical area marks a pivotal national and political moment that inaugurates the practical path for the complete Israeli withdrawal. He clarified that the government is committed to liberating all Lebanese territories and will continue to mobilize all its political and diplomatic efforts to achieve this.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the state has immediately begun to harness all its capabilities to facilitate the return of residents to their villages with dignity and safety, noting that military forces ensure the protection of returnees in parallel with opening roads, removing rubble, and swiftly working on rehabilitating water, electricity, and communication networks, as well as securing ready housing as transitional solutions.
Salam concluded by stating that restoring life to the southern areas and regaining stability there represents a practical commitment from the state to affirm Lebanon's sovereignty and the unity of its territories.
