أعلنت وزارة الكهرباء والماء والطاقة المتجددة الكويتية تعرّض محطة أخرى للقوى الكهربائية وتقطير المياه لهجوم إيراني؛ ما أدى إلى اندلاع حريق في أحد مكوناتها.
وأكدت الوزارة في بيان لها، اتخاذ إجراءات تشغيلية احترازية؛ للحفاظ على سلامة المحطة والعاملين فيها وضمان استقرار المنظومة الكهربائية.
وأشارت إلى أن فرق الطوارئ التابعة لها باشرت بالتنسيق مع قوة الإطفاء العام والجهات المعنية، التعامل مع الحريق، مضيفة أن جميع الخطط التشغيلية وخطط الطوارئ فُعلت فور وقوع الحادثة.
وكانت الوزارة أعلنت، أمس الجمعة، السيطرة على حريق اندلع في إحدى محطات القوى الكهربائية وتقطير المياه، عقب تعرضها لهجوم إيراني أسفر عن تضرر عدد كبير من وحدات توليد الطاقة الكهربائية.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy announced that another power and water desalination station was subjected to an Iranian attack, which led to a fire breaking out in one of its components.
The ministry confirmed in a statement that precautionary operational measures were taken to ensure the safety of the station and its workers and to guarantee the stability of the electrical system.
It noted that its emergency teams began coordinating with the General Fire Force and relevant authorities to deal with the fire, adding that all operational plans and emergency plans were activated immediately after the incident occurred.
The ministry had announced yesterday, Friday, that it had controlled a fire that broke out in one of the power and water desalination stations, following an Iranian attack that resulted in significant damage to a number of electric power generation units.
