وتحت حراسة أمنية مشددة، تستعد إيران لمراسم تشييع خامنئي التي تنطلق السبت وتستمر ستة أيام، بعد أكثر من أربعة أشهر على مقتله.

ووصل جثمان خامنئي إلى المصلى الكبير في طهران أمس (الخميس)، تمهيداً لإقامة مراسم الجنازة، مع خطط لمسيرات جماهيرية على مدى الأسبوع في قم ومشهد، بالإضافة إلى مراسم أخرى في العراق.
ونشرت وكالات أنباء إيرانية رسمية صوراً للنعوش، وأخرى لرؤساء الهيئات الدينية والثقافية وهم يؤدون واجب العزاء.
وحتى الآن تشير المعطيات المتداولة إلى أن الظهور العلني للمرشد الجديد مجتبى خامنئي خلال مراسم تشييع والده، غير مرجح.
ونقلت وسائل إعلام عن ممثل المرشد الإيراني في الهند أن مجتبى خامنئي لن يشارك على الأرجح في مراسم التشييع لأسباب أمنية، في ظل التوترات الأمنية المحيطة بالمراسم.
في المقابل، لا يوجد إعلان رسمي من السلطات الإيرانية يؤكد حضوره أو ينفيه بشكل قاطع، وما زالت الترتيبات الأمنية للمراسم محاطة بقدر كبير من السرية.
في غضون ذلك، كشف مسؤولون أمريكيون حاليون وسابقون، أن إدارة الرئيس دونالد ترمب اعتقدت خلال الربيع الماضي، أن إسرائيل كانت تخطط لاستهداف اثنين من كبار المسؤولين الإيرانيين المشاركين في المفاوضات مع الولايات المتحدة، الأمر الذي أثار مخاوف من انهيار مسار التفاوض وتجدد القتال، ودفع واشنطن لتحذير طهران من الأمر عبر دول في المنطقة، حسبما نقلت صحيفة «نيويورك تايمز».
وذكرت الصحيفة، في تقرير أن المخاوف الأمريكية تركزت على وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي ورئيس البرلمان محمد باقر قاليباف، اللذين اضطلعا بدور رئيسي في الاتصالات الهادفة إلى التوصل أولاً إلى وقف لإطلاق النار، ثم إلى اتفاق سلام أوسع بين الجانبين.

Meanwhile, current and former American officials revealed that the Trump administration believed last spring that Israel was planning to target two senior Iranian officials involved in negotiations with the United States, raising concerns about the collapse of the negotiation process and a resurgence of fighting, prompting Washington to warn Tehran about this through countries in the region, according to the New York Times.
The newspaper reported that American concerns focused on Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, who played a key role in communications aimed first at achieving a ceasefire and then a broader peace agreement between the two sides.
