نجح المدافع عبدالإله العمري في تسجيل أول أهدافه في كأس العالم، مع المنتخب السعودي في شباك الأوروغواي بمونديال 2026، وقدّم العمري أداء فنيّاً رائعاً، وساهم مع زملائه في خروج الأخضر بنقطة واحدة من أمام منتخب الأوروغواي.
وتعتبر مشاركة عبدالإله العمري مع المنتخب السعودي ضد الأوروغواي الرابعة له في كأس العالم، إذ لعب مع الأخضر أمام منتخبات الأرجنتين، وبولندا، والمكسيك، في مونديال 2022.
ويطمح العمري لرفع مشاركاته من خلال مباراتي المنتخب السعودي أمام إسبانيا، والرأس الأخضر، وفي حال التأهل لدور الـ(32) في كأس العالم 2026.
