بعد ساعات قليلة من إنذار سكان نحو 30 بلدة جنوب لبنان ومطالبتهم بالإخلاء، نفذ الجيش الإسرائيلي، اليوم الأحد، غارة جوية استهدفت منطقة الغبيري في الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت، مؤكداً أنه وجه ضربة دقيقة على مركز قيادة لحزب الله.
وأكدت مصادر مقتل القيادي في حزب الله علي الحاج .
وكان مصدر عسكري اسرائيلي أفاد بأن الهدف في الضاحية الجنوبية قائد كبير في وحدة الاتصالات الخاصة بحزب لله. وقال المتحدث باسم جيش الاحتلال أفيخاي أدرعي، في منشور على منصة «أكس»، إنه تمت مهاجمة بنية تحتية تابعة لحزب الله في الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت. وأكدت مصادر لبنانية سقوط ثلاث قتلى وعدد من الجرحى في الغارة.
من جانبه، أصدر رئيس الوزراء بنيامين نتنياهو ووزير الدفاع يسرائيل كاتس بياناً مشتركاً، أفادا فيه بأن الجيش الإسرائيلي نفذ اليوم غارات على أهداف تابعة لحزب الله في منطقة الضاحية الجنوبية في بيروت، وذلك رداً على إطلاق نار من قبل حزب الله باتجاه الأراضي الإسرائيلية. وشددا على أن إسرائيل لن تتهاون مع أي إطلاق نار يستهدف أراضيها.
وأعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي اليوم أن جماعة حزب الله أطلقت ثلاث مسيرات باتجاه بلدات في شمال إسرائيل، ووصف ذلك بأنه انتهاك صارخ لوقف إطلاق النار. وأضاف أن المسيرات سقطت قرب بلدتي شوميرا وشلومي، وقال إن تلك المسيرات جاءت إضافة لعبور مسيرتين للحدود خلال مطلع الأسبوع.
ودعا وزيران من اليمين المتطرف لقصف الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت، معقل حزب الله. وقال وزير المالية بتسلئيل سموتريتش في منشور على منصة إكس: «إطلاق النار على التجمعات السكانية الشمالية هو اختبار لعقيدة الضاحية التي أعلنها رئيس الوزراء بنيامين نتانياهو»، أي ضرب الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت في حال استهداف حزب الله المناطق الشمالية من إسرائيل.
وكتب وزير الأمن القومي اليميني المتطرف إيتمار بن غفير على إكس: «مقابل كل طائرة مسيّرة أو صاروخ، ومقابل كل انتهاك لوقف إطلاق النار، يجب أن ترتجف الضاحية».
وكان المجلس الأمني الإسرائيلي المصغر قرّر الأسبوع الماضي أن أي صاروخ يطلق من الأراضي اللبنانية على المستوطنات الشمالية سيقابل بهجوم على بيروت دون موافقة سياسية. وكان كاتس ونتنياهو توعدا بقصف العاصمة اللبنانية مقابل أي صاروخ أو مسيرة يطلقان نحو «شمال إسرائيل».
Just a few hours after warning residents of about 30 towns in southern Lebanon and urging them to evacuate, the Israeli army carried out an airstrike today, Sunday, targeting the Ghobeiri area in the southern suburbs of Beirut, confirming that it delivered a precise blow to a command center of Hezbollah.
An Israeli military source reported that the target in the southern suburbs was a senior leader in Hezbollah's special communications unit. The spokesperson for the occupation army, Avichai Adraee, stated in a post on the "X" platform that infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in the southern suburbs of Beirut was attacked. Lebanese sources confirmed that there was one fatality and several injuries in the airstrike.
For his part, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a joint statement, stating that the Israeli army carried out airstrikes today on Hezbollah targets in the southern suburbs of Beirut, in response to gunfire from Hezbollah towards Israeli territory. They emphasized that Israel would not tolerate any gunfire targeting its lands.
The Israeli army announced today that Hezbollah launched three drones towards towns in northern Israel, describing this as a blatant violation of the ceasefire. It added that the drones fell near the towns of Shomera and Shlomi, noting that these drones were in addition to two others that crossed the border earlier in the week.
Two ministers from the far-right called for bombing the southern suburbs of Beirut, Hezbollah's stronghold. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich posted on the X platform: "Gunfire at northern population centers is a test of the doctrine of the suburbs declared by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu," referring to striking the southern suburbs of Beirut if Hezbollah targets northern areas of Israel.
Far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir wrote on X: "In response to every drone or missile, and for every violation of the ceasefire, the suburbs must tremble."
The Israeli security cabinet decided last week that any missile fired from Lebanese territory at northern settlements would be met with an attack on Beirut without political approval. Katz and Netanyahu had vowed to bomb the Lebanese capital in response to any missile or drone launched towards "northern Israel."
