ذكرت وسائل إعلام أمريكية، اليوم (الأحد)، أن الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل تناقشان سيناريوهات عسكرية معقدة من بينها نشر «قوات خاصة» داخل إيران، بهدف تأمين مخزون اليورانيوم عالي التخصيب الذي تمتلكه طهران، ومنع استخدامه في تصنيع سلاح نووي.
ونقل موقع أكسيوس الأخباري، عن مسؤولين أمريكيين قولهم إن إدارة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب تبحث خيارات للتعامل مع المنشآت النووية الإيرانية، من بينها إرسال قوات خاصة لتأمين المواد النووية الحساسة بالتعاون مع خبراء نوويين وربما بمشاركة الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية.
وأوضح مسؤول أمريكي رفيع أن أحد السيناريوهات التي يجري بحثها يتمثل في دخول قوات خاصة إلى المواقع النووية الإيرانية لتأمين المواد التي يمكن استخدامها في تصنيع أسلحة نووية، فيما قال مصدر مطلع على المناقشات إن العملية المحتملة قد تشمل أيضا مشاركة علماء نوويين، وربما خبراء من الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية، بهدف السيطرة على المواد النووية الحساسة والتعامل معها بشكل آمن.
وبحسب التقرير، فإن الخطط تركز بشكل خاص على مخزون إيران الذي يقدر بنحو 450 كيلوغراما من اليورانيوم المخصب بنسبة 60%، وهي نسبة مرتفعة يمكن رفعها بسرعة إلى مستويات تسمح بإنتاج سلاح نووي.
وأشار المسؤولون الأمريكيون والإسرائيليون إلى أن السيطرة على هذا المخزون تعد خطوة حاسمة لمنع إيران من امتلاك قدرة نووية عسكرية، خصوصاً في ظل الحرب الجارية، مؤكدين أن تنفيذ عملية من هذا النوع سيكون بالغ التعقيد والخطورة، إذ يتطلب نشر قوات على الأراضي الإيرانية وتأمين مواقع نووية محصنة، بعضها يقع تحت الأرض أو داخل منشآت تعرضت للقصف.
ولفت التقرير إلى أن تنفيذ مثل هذه العملية لن يتم إلا في مرحلة متقدمة من الحرب، عندما تتأكد الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل من أن القدرات العسكرية الإيرانية لم تعد قادرة على تهديد القوات التي قد تدخل إلى الأراضي الإيرانية، فيما قال المسؤولون إن الهدف النهائي من هذه الخطط هو ضمان عدم تمكن طهران من استخدام مخزون اليورانيوم عالي التخصيب لتطوير سلاح نووي.
American media reported today (Sunday) that the United States and Israel are discussing complex military scenarios, including the deployment of "special forces" inside Iran, with the aim of securing Tehran's stockpile of highly enriched uranium and preventing its use in the manufacture of nuclear weapons.
Axios news site quoted American officials as saying that the administration of President Donald Trump is exploring options to deal with Iranian nuclear facilities, including sending special forces to secure sensitive nuclear materials in cooperation with nuclear experts and possibly with the participation of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
A senior American official explained that one of the scenarios being considered involves special forces entering Iranian nuclear sites to secure materials that could be used in the manufacture of nuclear weapons. A source familiar with the discussions indicated that the potential operation could also involve the participation of nuclear scientists, and possibly experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency, with the aim of controlling sensitive nuclear materials and handling them safely.
According to the report, the plans specifically focus on Iran's stockpile, estimated at about 450 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60%, a high level that could be quickly raised to levels that allow for the production of a nuclear weapon.
American and Israeli officials noted that controlling this stockpile is a crucial step in preventing Iran from acquiring military nuclear capability, especially in light of the ongoing war, emphasizing that executing an operation of this kind would be extremely complex and dangerous, as it would require deploying forces on Iranian territory and securing fortified nuclear sites, some of which are underground or within facilities that have been bombed.
The report pointed out that carrying out such an operation would only occur at an advanced stage of the war, when the United States and Israel are assured that Iranian military capabilities are no longer able to threaten the forces that might enter Iranian territory. The officials stated that the ultimate goal of these plans is to ensure that Tehran cannot use its stockpile of highly enriched uranium to develop a nuclear weapon.
