أعلن رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو اليوم (السبت)، تدمير المقر الرئيسي للمرشد الإيراني علي خامنئي في العاصمة الإيرانية طهران.
وقال نتنياهو في خطاب تلفزيوني: «المرشد الأعلى الإيراني علي خامنئي لم يعد موجوداً»، مشيراً إلى وجود مؤشرات ترجح مقتله خلال الضربات الجوية الأخيرة التي استهدفت طهران.
وأوضح نتنياهو أنه جرى تصفية عدد كبير من كبار قادة النظام ومسؤولي الحرس الثوري الإيراني، مضيفاً: «على الشعب الإيراني النزول إلى الشارع لاستكمال المهة والاتحاد لإسقاط النظام».
وكان الجيش الإسرائيلي قد قال إن 200 طائرة مقاتلة نفّذت هجمات واسعة على منظومة الصواريخ وأنظمة الدفاع الجوي الإيرانية في غرب ووسط إيران.
ووصف الجيش الإسرائيلي الهجوم في بيان بـ«أكبر طلعة هجومية في تاريخ سلاح الجو الإسرائيلي، وتم تنفيذها بناء على معلومات استخباراتية».
وأشار إلى أنه «تم قصف نحو 500 هدف بينها أنظمة للدفاع الجوي وقاذفات صواريخ في عدد من المواقع في إيران، منها موقع في تبريز في غرب إيران كان من المخطط استخدامه في إطلاق عشرات الصواريخ باتجاه إسرائيل».
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced today (Saturday) the destruction of the headquarters of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Netanyahu said in a televised speech: "The Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is no longer in existence," referring to indications that suggest his death during the recent airstrikes targeting Tehran.
Netanyahu explained that a large number of senior leaders of the regime and officials of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard have been eliminated, adding: "The Iranian people must take to the streets to complete the mission and unite to overthrow the regime."
The Israeli army had stated that 200 fighter jets carried out extensive attacks on the missile systems and air defense systems in western and central Iran.
The Israeli army described the attack in a statement as "the largest offensive sortie in the history of the Israeli Air Force, carried out based on intelligence information."
It noted that "about 500 targets were bombed, including air defense systems and missile launchers in several locations in Iran, including a site in Tabriz in western Iran that was planned to be used for launching dozens of missiles towards Israel."
